River Rest Cabin is a rare 2-acre riverfront retreat surrounded by 50+ acre farm in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. On the same road where Dolly Parton grew up, you will experience a true “Smoky Mountain Home.” Enjoy the privacy and seclusion while being convenient to Gatlinburg, Pigeon, Forge, and Sevierville (20 minutes or less to all). You will find an ultra private yet year-round accessible cabin with 2 bedrooms (king beds - one on main level and the other in loft bedroom upstairs) + queen sleeper sofa in living room + 2 full en-suite bathrooms located on the Little Pigeon River. We have flat/smooth roads to and from the cabin as well as the main roads (for motorcycle, classic car, cyclist owners) , and we welcome guests during all 4 seasons!

This newly renovated, luxurious cabin is surrounded by 50+ acres of farm land where you can look out any window to see the river, nature, farm, and local wildlife like Bald Eagles, deer, and Black Bears. Down the road from where Dolly Parton grew up and in the middle of it all between Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville (Pittman Center area), the cabin was lovingly hand built by the previous owner's father. It was also lovingly restored and renovated in early 2019. We completed a new front porch, new riverfront deck, and new river access with stairs in fall of 2019. We have also recently completed the new outdoor area as well as adding kayaks and river tubes in March 2021. All outdoor deck areas have gates to protect small children and cafe string lights all around for ambiance.

With easy access year-round (even in the winter), you will be close to it all! We have flat roads to and from the cabin including an ample-sized level driveway (perfect for motorcycles/classic cars/cyclists). Hiking, fishing (world class trout fishing!), wading, kayaking, horseback riding, tubing, sight seeing, whitewater rafting, swimming, restaurants, shopping, snow skiing/ice skating, Dollywood, downtown Gatlinburg, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Greenbrier Entrance are all nearby. Enjoy total privacy, the convenience of its central location, and the majestic Little Pigeon River!

Perfect for a honeymoon, family vacation, special occasion, adventure travel, or just a peaceful escape, the cabin features a large wraparound covered back porch and riverfront deck where you can enjoy listening to the river all day long. There is a front porch to enjoy the neighboring cows next door, a riverfront deck with seating and built-in benches to relax by the river, and riverfront access to walk into the water for fishing or swimming in the spring, summer, and fall. There is also an outdoor dining table on the side porch to enjoy eating outside. Outside on the expansive 2 acre riverfront property, there are 2 picnic tables one with a view of your very own private swimming/fishing hole "The Riviera," diverse areas to fish for rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, redeye bass, perch, and carp (knee deep at cabin to very deep at swimming hole), outdoor propane gas grill for cookouts, horseshoe pit, and a large stone fire pit + seating with string lights all around to enjoy night or day! Our guests can also use our kayaks/paddles (2), river tubes (4), life jackets, bocce ball set, and cornhole set! Inside, you will find a newly renovated interior, large gas fireplace built with locally sourced river rocks found right outside the cabin, open living room with rocking chairs, new Restoration Hardware down queen sleeper sofa, Sonos system to enjoy your music, full kitchen with all KitchenAid appliances, reverse osmosis water tap system for the purest drinking/cooking water, loaded complimentary coffee bar, pantry staples, kitchen essentials, washer/dryer, loft bedroom with King bed upstairs, 2nd bedroom on main level with King bed, 2 full bathrooms (1 upstairs shower and 1 downstairs tub/shower) with waterfall shower heads, luxury towels/linens provided, complimentary toiletries, newly installed water purification system for the whole house, and a hot tub on its own private screened-in porch overlooking the river!
