"Sleeping Grizzly Den" is a British Columbia custom cedar home with incredible beams and a high pitched roof. Built into a hillside, facing into the forest. Stunning luxury Mountain retreat in Lake Davis. Private one acre lot that is serene, beautiful and close to the Lake. Perfect for golfers, hiking, swimming, biking, fishing or pure relaxation. Several golf courses near this lake house. Enjoy the stunning open forest views from the high vaulted living room window and wrap around deck.

If you decide to bring your pet (limit 2 dogs) there is a $98.00 pet fee/pet that we will add to your reservation invoice after you make a reservation with us.

Guests have use of the entire home and the property.
Other things to note
You must be 25 years old (with proof of ID) to make a reservation one of our vacation rental homes. There is a 3 night minimum for this home. You will get detailed instructions on how to check in and driving directions to this home. It is on an easy hillside to drive up, but keep in mind, it is in the mountains and there are no street lights. Be sure to print out your map as cell service can be spotty driving up the hill for google maps.

We were a small group of four who came up to play some golf and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We really enjoyed staying here - my group loves to cook. The home is as advertised, the kitchen is extremely well appointed, and the barbecue was excellent. The home would work well for larger groups too. The host had everything set up for an easy arrival and was also easy to communicate with. Highly recommend for those visiting the area that want a very comfortable home with a great host.

Judy and Carlos' place in Portola was great for our buddy golf trip. Great location right next to the lake, stunning views, and the house had everything we could possibly need. Was only 15 minutes from Grizzly Ranch, and there were a few other courses near by. We particularly enjoyed the projector room, and porch. Reasonably priced, everything was comfortable so overall would recommend.

Beautiful, well equipped house. Wonderful views from the deck. We loved watching the sunset. Really close to the lake with great hikes. The owner always responded quickly and gave great suggestions for local activities.

Very comfortable home in the woods!

We had a great stay for our Thanksgiving holiday! The house exceeded our expectations. From the high quality linens/towels/beds to the beautiful view. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and dishware needed for Thanksgiving dinner. The host had great communication and the check in/out process was very easy. We loved the outdoor fireplace to gather around and take in the view. We will look forward to visiting again. Nick & Shawna

Yearly golf trip with the guys

Carlos’s cabin is fantastic. Every year we take a trip up to the Portola area for our golf outing and this year our group grew to 8. The cabin had more than enough room for us and had everything we needed and then some. Excellent location, spacious, and clean. Carlos is easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Will be back in the future!
