Island Sands 612 is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo located on the 6th floor accessible by an elevator. This condo can accommodate up to 4 guests with a king-size bed in the master bedroom and two twins (that can be converted to a King) in the guest bedroom. The master bedroom boasts spectacular ocean views, an ocean view lanai, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower/tub combination. You can enter the master bathroom through the master bedroom or living room area. The master bedroom also features large sliding doors that open fully to the living room, creating a spacious wide floor plan and combining the living room and master bedroom floor-to-ceiling slider windows for panoramic ocean views! The guest bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a shower/tub combination and a privacy door in the hallway that can be closed to create a completely separate living area enclosing the front door, guest bedroom, and guest bathroom. A washer and dryer are located in the condo for added convenience.

There is a brand new split A/C in the living room and guest bedroom (covering the front and back of the condo), ceiling fans, and wonderful ocean breezes. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for making meals where you can enjoy ocean views while you prep! Panoramic ocean views with dramatic Haleakala in the distance! This top floor, end unit is sure to impress. Five miles of perfect sandy beach where turtles love to play await below. During the winter months, sit front row on our expansive lanai as many whales breach in view. Walk to shops, restaurants, and attractions from this resort. In the evening, enjoy beautiful sunsets and the twinkling lights of Kihei and Wailea in the distance. Island Sands Resort is located in central Maui, making it easy to explore all other corners of Maui. This condo comes equipped with a TV and complimentary WiFi.

Island Sands Resort is an oceanfront resort that offers a pool, BBQ area, and koi pond. This resort is located at Ma'alaea Bay, near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium), take a sunset sail or whale watching tour from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Great property with beautiful views. Stayed with my husband and two boys. The boys loved watching the turtles in the bay. Not a swim beach on the property, but plenty of places close by.

Fantastic!!

We had a wonderful stay here at island sands. Beautiful views of the sunrise over the bay with daily sightings of sea turtles and humpback whales. We enjoyed the location which was central to most of the island and walkable to the harbor. We hope to return soon.

The location and view from the lanai is spectacular. We would watch the sea turtles every day. Some furniture is in need of replacement- two patio chairs were unusable. The property manager replaced the chairs as soon as they received permission from the owner but it took a couple days. The couch is uncomfortable but the beds were nice. Carpet in second bedroom is stained and there is paint chipping in the 2nd bathroom shower. I think the place could use some minor maintenance and it would be perfect.

Paradise in Paradise

Amazing condo!

I’ve stayed in four condos in Maalaea and I will say that this one was by far the best. The double balcony with a great view was superb. It was just what we needed and wanted for our island getaway. The location is central so it’s easy to get over to nearby towns. We loved walking on the beach every morning.

The condo was lovely, with stunning views. Lulled to sleep each night by the lapping ocean waves, and not some noisy town centre or resort. Location turned out to be excellent for our needs as we explored all corners of the island. Very helpful staff.

We had a wonderful stay here. The unit had fantastic views and a great layout for a family of four. It was the perfect central location for exploring the island. We made use of the beach chairs, towels, and boogey board which were all supplied. Loved the washer/dryer! It was well stocked. Would definitely stay again!!

Excellent Find!

This condo is awesome. It is clean and comfortable and the representative for My Perfect Stays was very responsive when we had questions. We spent a lot of time on the lanai watching whales and a few sea turtles. The view of Haleakala is spectacular, particularly at sunrise. We would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous mountain and waterfront view

Stayed at this place for about three days. It was very convenient for all of our road trips. Apartment was beautifully decorated and the view is just as beautiful if not more on the photos. By the time we checked in, the front office was closed, but the phone number that was listed answered and gave information so that was very helpful. At the same time we were greeted with a welcome package and a binder of recommendations and how twos for the unit. Wish we could’ve stayed here longer! I can still hear the waves crashing in the wind blowing ☺️

clean, spacious, and convenient

This property is extremely clean, with hard floors throughout (great not to worry about what might lurk in those carpets), and more spacious than the typical condo. The views are great. Ma'alaea is a mixed location: it is perhaps the least pretty location in the West side of Maui, but it is very conveniently located: you can reach the North locations (Kaanapali, Lahaina) and the South ones (Wailea, Makena), so if you want to access both, and to the East side of the island, Ma'alaea is a great location. In addition, the harbor from which many tours leave is right next door. But don't expect fancy shops, manicured gardens, or golf fields.

The View!

This lovely little gem has the most amazing view, is quiet and well stocked with necessities! My only issue was lack of beach and a very small (backyard) pool off the parking lot. If you do not care about these things, you will love this place. We will be back and thank the owners for their special attention to detail. Can you please update the knives? They are so dull and worn out to be dangerous and one handle broke while cutting a carrot! Thank you!

Pictures don’t do justice!!!!

Unlocked the door to this condo… you will walk down the hall and Maui will hit you!! The pictures will not do this condo justice… WOW!!! We got settled in and started to see whales come up and breath spray from their blow holes with our own eyes plus they have a telescope you can use to see these majastic animals. We did a snorkel experience in the near by harbor with a snorkel ship you can walk there.. and we got pictures up close with the Whales!!! There are restaurants very close by and the aquarium is within this shopping/restaurant area.. I would come back every time I come to Maui!!!!!!!!

Great Condo!

This was a great place to stay! Condo was clean and had everything provided! (Hand soap, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, dishwasher tabs, TP) The condo was large, open, and just what we needed. Location was great, central on the island. We appreciated that it was crowded. Haycraft Beach was just down the street (not good for snorkeling, but awesome for just sitting and watching the waves and some swimming). Maui Ocean Center and Molokini take off close by. The pool and grill area was clean, quiet, and relaxing. While there was not a “beach” right outside the grounds, we saw some sea turtles hanging out on the beach which was so cool! Highly recommend! Of note, bring a hat with a strap! It’s very windy!

Nice Place

Island Sands 612 was everything we needed for our 10 day trip to Maui! It was clean other than a couple dead bugs that were not swept up and a large insect found in the guest bath as well as a very stained bath rug. The view is spectacular! We watched whales every morning from the lanai! Beware that the “beachfront” is a very small beach surrounded by rocks and not connected to the larger beach down the road. If you are looking to be close to more restaurants and beaches, I recommend staying closer to Kihei. It was a minimum 18 minute drive every time we wanted to go somewhere, but for the price, it was worth it. My Perfect Stays, the property management company, was quick to respond to any questions and gave a courtesy call the day after our check in to ensure everything was good. Do not hesitate to book a trip to Maui and if you’re looking for a nice place for a decent price, check out Island Sands 612!

Nice Location

We expected a "Perfect Stay" based on reviews and descriptions of the property. In spite of recent renovations some areas need improvement and/or repair. The bathrooms were mediocre including loose toilet seals. The countertops are Formica and sinks are very plain. The kitchen sink faucet sprayed water all over when used. The old-style electric stove had burners that didn't fit the drip pans making them badly unlevel. The second bedroom has very dated and worn furniture. The air-conditioner flooded one side of the deck. For the price we expected something more.

Top floor views, turtle spotting from the lanai.

Lovely condo, views were amazing looks out across the bay at Haleakalā. Loved looking off the lanai to the sea turtles playing in the waves everyday. Easy walk to the Maui ocean center and the shops and restaurants at Maaleah harbor center. There are also a Starbucks and mini golf on walking distance. The condo was fully equipped with towels for the beach and bathing. Beach chairs and coolers were also available for a fun day at the beach also in walking distance to the unit. There were a couple of issues but nothing that was a deal breaker or warranted a lower rating. The trade winds were unusually strong during our stay so the bathroom exhaust fans constantly squeaked and banged, had to keep bathroom doors closed to lessen noise. The rolling shades did nothing to stop the morning sun so be prepared to rise early. The assigned parking spot is next to check in and the elevators, people would block or park in the spot. Very inconvenient. On site management apologized but there was very little they could do when they were closed and it was 10:00pm. Did call office each time but again they were closed so received no response until the next day.

Island Sands

The condo was convenient to many locations being that it’s centrally located. We are long time Lahaina and north travelers and enjoyed this new to us location. The beach out front it pretty to look at but to rocky for swimming or beach access. The condo has a great water view and is well equipped to cook at home. The beds are comfortable but not the common area furniture. Only one comfortable chair. We liked everything except they told us just days before arrival that the pool would be closed 3 if our 7 days. Had we known this ahead of time we definitely wouldn’t have booked this condo. The pool tiles are chipped and in need of repair that wasn’t what they were fixing so beware of pool closures if your pool people.. also the pool is very small .
