Acadian Farms<br>Southern Farmhouse Cabin

Situated on 11 wooded acres, and close to town. Enjoy your morning coffee on one of two front porch swings or one of 4 comfy rocking chairs while you watch the horses roaming in the pastures. Wake to the roosters crow announcing sunrise and sunset. Then enjoy quiet evenings watching fireflies light up the sky . Our farmhouse cabin is the perfect little get away for a couples retreat or a whole family . The cabin sleeps 10 to 12 adults including a queen air mattress, and a very comfy sofa.

Conveniently located 2 miles from the Dogwood Venue, 2 miles from Bridlewood Barn Venue, 2 1/2 miles from the Trace Biking and walking trails and 7 miles from USM campus.

This house was amazing- close to town but felt like you were away from it all. The front porch alone is worth the stay! The property is gorgeous. The inside is beautiful, clean, extremely comfortable, and well-stocked. The only thing missing would be a tankless hot water heater. The hot water did go fast if you filled the bathtub in the master. It was very easy to communicate with the host and we appreciated their quick responses. We were highly entertained by the chickens on the property. The chickens also like to hang out on the front porch, so if you sleep in the master bedroom, I recommend some white noise. The chickens aren’t overly loud though. Surprisingly we missed the noise of them when we got home. : ) There are horses and a donkey stabled on the adjacent property. You can watch them through the kitchen windows. The donkey will come up to the fence to say hello. I would love to stay here again!

Hattiesburg, MS getaway!!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was very clean and well kept up. If I needed to get in touch with the hostess she contacted me back within minutes. They had fenced in animals that the kids loved to pet. Porch with rocking chairs and swing were awesome to relax in. All in all, it was a very beautiful cabin and we had a great weekend.

We loved the farm!

The farm was wonderful! I grew up in Hattiesburg and my family gathered for my father's funeral. Half of us are from Georgia and the other Florida. It allowed us to really be together during a tough time. And we loved coming home to the animals!

This was without a question the nicest VRBO we’ve ever had and the best host. The house has the feel of a sanctuary. Embedded in trees, and endowed with an old-style southern front porch with rockers and swing, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy family. The master bed was wonderful. The master bathroom was elegant. The furniture is comfortable. It has two private bedrooms and a large open loft above the den that will sleep many The kitchen has a huge island that was perfect for us with our multiple cooks. We loved all of the wood inside and out. The artworks were exquisite. It was only 3.6 miles from the venue where my grandson‘s wedding was being held. It’s pet friendly with great areas to walk your dog. Parking is generous. We had three cars and could’ve had several more. Adding to the ambience were the animals – a donkey, beautiful horses, a mother hen sitting on and hatching her eggs. Especially nice was the fact that the host responded quickly to every communication. When I asked her if she had anyone I could pay to move us in (because we’re an aging group), she said her husband and college-age son would be happy to at no charge. They met us there when we arrived and quickly brought all of our food and bags in. A Gracious, generous family owns this place and enjoys sharing it with folks like us. I highly recommend it and them.

Wonderful home

The owners were excellent! It was an amazing experience and the home is cozy and so relaxing. We asked the owner about the horses and donkeys and he told us we could feed them. My husband went to the store and bought apples which he suggested. We absolutely loved this place and highly recommend.

Enjoyed a girls weekend on the farm. Far enough out of the city to feel secluded but close enough to go out to dinner or get anything you need. Friendly animals. Decorated adorably. Stocked with all the basics. Needs more living room seating. Only sitting room for 6 people one of which being a straight chair. Bathrooms weren’t thoroughly cleaned. But not terrible.

Passing Through

We stayed here one night on our way through the South. Great house on a working horse ranch, complete with wild chickens, two donkeys, and of course, horses. There's wifi, cable, and plenty of outdoor space to stroll around. Highly recommend this quaint cabin.
