This Walloon Village home is perfect place for your Northern Michigan getaway! This home is conveniently located in Walloon Village and is within walking distance to beautiful Walloon Lake. The public beach is just down the road; there are plenty of boat rentals nearby to rent a boat for the day and enjoy the water! There is public lake access across the street where you can swim or put in a kayak/paddle board. The village, restaurants and hopping is a short walk down the street. You really are centrally located in this home and can experience all of the aspects of a lakefront property at a more affordable price.

This cozy cottage has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room space features an open floor plan with sliding glass doors on either side of the house that opens up into nice patio areas. The front patio wraps around the front of the house and has comfortable seating and loungers. The back patio has a nice outdoor table for meals or entertaining. The two downstairs bedrooms have a king and queen sized bed, while the upstairs loft includes two twins. The sofa in the living room is a pull-out queen sized bed. The home has updated and modern features whilst still retaining that cottage vibe you look for when vacationing in the area.

The home is a short drive to either Boyne Mountain, Boyne Highlands or Nubs Nob for winter activities such as skiing, sledding, ice skating and much more. The fall is the perfect time of year to enjoy the color season and visit all of the local wineries in the area. Come visit in the spring, which is a slower season, but very popular for golfing at one of the numerous golf courses in the area. This area is known to have some of the best restaurants if you are foodie and want a weekend away. Come stay with us and see everything Northern Michigan has to offer!

A very clean home! Well stocked and accommodating. Also a good location to be tucked away in a quieter, intimate setting, and still within walking distance to the general store and restaurants. We have two young children and they, too, enjoyed their time. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Comfortable & clean home on a quiet street with all the amenities. Took off a star because there was no furniture on the back deck, which would have been nice for morning coffee or a meal. The furniture on the front deck was uncomfortable/outdated patio furniture from the 1960’s. A nice add would be a fire pit/solo stove and a gas grill, charcoal grill was provided. Would stay again if the Cottage was available.

Just not clean

Pointed out many problems after our arrival on Friday, finally heard back from property manager on Monday. House was not clean, we had to clean our refrigerator from prior guests, empty the dishwasher, tub in guest bath was filthy due to a constant leak that they were aware of. Floors were sticky, windows filmy, just not a good experience. We did get to meet the neighbors because the can opener was broken, had to clean the coffee pot and the coffee grinder. It is in a good location, Walloon is a nice small village to stay in.

We do leave our card with a direct mobile phone number to encourage renters to reach out in the event any issues arise over the weekend (this is also listed in the Guest Hospitality app). Our offices are not open on the weekend, which is why emailing is not as responsive. We do sincerely apologize about the cleaning issues; this is extremely unusual and not a problem that happens often. At the time of this problem, we did address the issues with the cleaning company and issued you a full refund of the cleaning charge- which was not stated in your review. Again, thank you for staying with us and we hope this does not deter any other renters from enjoying this beautiful home due to one minor mishap that occurred during the extremely busy summer season. A treasure near Walloon Lake

This delightful A-frame cabin is nestled amongst beautiful trees and a short walking distance to the lake and to the city. It was exactly what our family needed to rest, recharge, and enjoy each others company. Whether outdoors reading quietly in a heavily wooded area, taking a stroll to the beach, or making daytrips to Petoskey, Charlevoix, Boyne City, and other beautiful local destination - this rental was ideal. We are grateful for the opportunity to rent it and hope to do so again in the future. Don't miss out on your trip to this beautiful area. Also - their is lake access at the end of 4th street. That wasn't clear to us when we arrived (didn't want to intrude on someone's property), but a great place to go kayaking or otherwise enjoying beautiful Walloon Lake. The rental service was friendly, responsive, and a delight to work with. Highly recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I grew up going to my parents cabin near the village of Walloon and could not believe how beautiful the downtown looks. The lake is as spectacular as I remembered. The cottage was in a perfect location, a ten minute stroll got you to town for lunch at the barrel back, an ice cream or groceries at the general store. The cabin was very nice and had all the essentials. The only issues we had was the bathtub was constantly dripping, the garbage disposal didn’t work and the electric outlet by the coffee pot only worked off and on. Nothing that we couldn’t adapt to just thought the management company would want to know to address.

This home on Walloon Lake was a lovely! It truly was a pleasant surprise—the location was great, the property itself was exactly as advertised, and the photos were an accurate representation. The home was spotlessly clean, very nicely and comfortably furnished, and the kitchen was well appointed with dishes and cooking necessities. We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay, and we definitely would book this property again!

Nice spacious cottage

The communication with our contact Megan was easy and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the cottage very well stocked with supplies. Be ware of large street drain near where you back out. It is very deep and I unfortunately drove through it. This is a nice place and you will enjoy your stay.

Wonderful place!

This cozy, clean cottage was perfect for our little vacation! The location is great whether you want to stay on Walloon Lake or venture to Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Bay Harbor etc. It was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies, linens and with excellent instructions on check-in/out. A True Gem, Highly Recommended

To be honest, we wondered about an A-frame on wooded land, near but not ON the lake. Those slight concerns were immediately erased upon arrival. This is a lovely home, completely modernized and so very well maintained. The beds were very comfortable, as was all the furniture in the main living areas. The kitchen is well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The baths were nice, particularly the master bath, with its own dressing area. Huge closets make it easy to unpack and feel at home right away. Our little granddaughter and her daddy slept in the loft of the A-frame, and she loved her nest up there! Highly recommended!

August Walloon Lake Getaway

The house was very clean upon arrival. I love the A frame cottage style. The bed In the master bedroom was comfortable. We really enjoyed the location of the property. It was just a short walk or bike ride to the village. The only slight concern we had was with communication. On the day of our arrival, I asked about extending our check out time to 11:00 and did not receive a response back. Other than that, the property was well kept and we would recommend it to others.
