Girls Getaway

The house had everything we needed for our 3-night getaway for 7 ladies. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own private space and to spend time together. Quick and easy access to the beach was nice, especially to catch gorgeous sunrises. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and check-in and check-out was a breeze. Perfect for our family!

This property was great for our family vacation including four difference families and four children! The walk to the beach was easy and the property is walkable to several restaurants and ice cream. The owner was responsive. Kitchen was equipped and house was clean. Would recommend!

Highly recommend this property; it’s a short walk to the beach & near many restaurants/shops. We were a group of six friends & each wanted our own bedroom, so it worked out great for our group. Having the pool & elevator were bonuses & Mike was fantastic to deal with. He was very responsive regarding any issues we had & we would definitely stay at one of his properties again!

Great house and location!

Had a girls weekend last weekend of September. Got great use of the hot tub as it ended up being a little rainy and windy weather wise! Some of us even braved the pool for a bit which was still open! House was very comfortable and we really liked most of the rooms had their own on-suite bathrooms. Great location just a block or two from the public beach access and from Swells’a Brewing and Mama Kwans (two great spots)! Thank you for an awesome stay!!

50 years of friendship

8 of us stayed here. Close to beach and other activities ( Wright Bros, Pea Island, etc) the living space was good to hang at night and everyone had good sleeping arrangements. If there were more singles , the configuration of bunk beds may have been an issue. Beds were a little soft but certainly doable

Perfect for what we needed

My family went to OBX to spread the ashes of both parents. We needed a house big enough for 9 adults and 2 children and one dog. This house fit the bill. While its not fancy, it is practical, in the right location, clean and plenty of room for us all. Can't really complain since this trip wasn't really vacation for pleasure. Good price for this trip.

Great Family Spot

The listing is 100% accurate! The emails are super informative and outline everything expected; you can tell the management company runs a tight ship! Every time I messaged there was a reaponse in a very timely manner. The proximity to the beach was perfect. I would reccomend setting up at the beach at 8am to secure a good spot. It's very close to a few hotels, but the beach wasnt everly crowded. Overall the whole family had an amazing time, made good use of the pool, and enjoyed every moment!

We had an awesome stay at this property! It’s convenient to all of the best OBX restaurants and shops + the beach access is very close. We were pleasantly surprised at how child proofed the home was. The property could use a little TLC as much of the hardware was rusted and felt a little dangerous for small children. Overall this property is excellent if you’re spending your days on the beach or in the pool and just need somewhere to relax at nap time, sleep at night and shower :) thank you for hosting us and allowing us to make memories in your home!

Perfect Getaway

everything was as advertised. from the start when i booked the interaction with the owner was great. anytime i text him he responded promptly and answered any question i had. i would definitely book with him again. the house was clean and was more than enough for us. 12 adults. 6 couples. kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. beds were comfortable. everything was within walking distance. overall there was not 1 person who was not satisfied. love outer banks.

Mike and Renee Olson. They met in OBX during their college summer breaks 1987 - 1993. Mike was an Ocean Rescue Lifeguard for Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head Ocean Rescue. Renee worked at Capt'n Franks and Birthday Suits. They have two children Meganne and Max. They enjoy the Outer Banks and know it very well. They thought this house would be perfect because it's big and is the perfect size for large families and friends. The price is very reasonable for all you get.

Why they chose this property

When we decided to purchase our fourth rental home we knew this will be the perfect location and the house with everything our renters asked for in the past years.

What makes this property unique

Having everything you need close by and not have to fight traffic is important so you can settle in fast and start enjoying your vacation. Restaurants, beach, shopping, fishing, are all in walking an from the house. Kill Devil Hills is the oldest township on the Outer Banks and was the sight of the Wright Brothers historic First Flight. The town of Kill Devil Hills is book-ended by the towns of Kitty Hawk and Nags Head. Spanning the barrier island from sound to sea, this beach community is the geographic center of Dare County. Family oriented with many activities for all ages, including kite flying, surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, sunbathing, air flight tours, shopping, restaurants and more.
