Needs updating, not clean

Property on a beautiful island. The property lacks in updates, cleanliness, and we fought ants in the kitchen all weekend. Light pulls did not work on 3 lights, the light in the kitchen (fluorescent) had to be flipped off and on several times to come on.

Great place to relax and get away for a slower pace of life.

The view was excellent. Beautiful sunset every evening. The unit is clean, but could use a deep cleaning and some light/ fans were not functioning. Appliances were ok, but microwave plastic was cracked and fell off. Did not have a golf cart, so that was an added expense. Blinds in the bedroom continually fell off each time they were opened or closed. We like the privacy the island gives and that there are not a lot of people at the beach or pool.

LGI Vaca

This was our first trip to Little Gasparilla Island and was exactly as pictured and described. Our unit faced the pond and the ocean beyond and provided beautiful sunset views of the ocean every night. Our party consisted of two couples and the condo was perfect with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which is a must for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach - spending all our time sunbathing, walking and beach combing. As described, the only access to LGI is via boat/ferry. Hideaway Bay Condos have their own ferry service which is great - the only down side is you have to arrange your trips off and to the island around the ferry schedule. Our unit did not include a golf cart, however, we didn't feel we needed one during our stay as it was a short walk to the beach and ferry. The condo could definitely use some updating but is certainly adequate. The internet was iffy most of the time but there again, we were on vacation so was not a major problem for us. One side note is the septic system is located right behind building H and some days the smell was rather offensive so we were unable to open the windows on the back side of the unit. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and would recommend Hideway Bay and Little Gasparilla Island as a vacation destination.
