Island Beach Barn - charming vacation house with bay/dock and beach access

This little piece of heaven and is just what you've been looking for and it is unlike any vacation you have ever been on! The Beach Barn is located in the middle of the island, offering quick and easy access to watch sunrises from our dock (#51) and sunsets on the gorgeous beach. It's the perfect place to relax, disconnect from the craziness of life, and have fun with the ones your with! This beach house has been stylishly remodeled and decorated. You will feel the beachy, island vibes the minute you walk through the door.

Please note that Little Gasparilla Island is ONLY ACCESSIBLE BY BOAT. Once on the island, there are no cars, bars, or restaurants. A true getaway!!

Great beach barn

There is nothing you are not going to like about this house. Its a great stay and the island is amazing. Very clean. Super well equipted in the kitchen. Beach toys, cooler, chairs. It has everything you need. Just bring a little food and few clothes!

Great Slice of Heaven

Best stocked house we've ever stayed in!! It had every single amenity you can think of and more. Spacious and comfortable with a really cool bar space and living areas. The bottom floor outside space and upstairs porch were super nice and the new beach chairs and beach umbrellas were the best! Could not use the paddleboard because there were too many waves, but we are hoping to come back next year. Thank you for sharing your amazing property with us! Lili and family!

Loved it!

The Beach Barn was everything we hoped for and more! The house is clean and offers plenty of family space. We enjoyed the farm table and the Blackstone for most of our meals. The space under the house had great swinging chairs, a bar, and games. Beach chairs, boogie boards, and anything we could've imagined were available for our use. The outdoor shower was also amazing. This is our 4th time to LGI and with this house you truly only need to pack your suits and bring your food because it was stocked with so many essentials. The beach access is close and unique with tropical plants and a walkway. Dave, the property manager was exceptional! He met us at the dock and helped with all our needs. He really went the extra mile to make our stay incredible. We love the island and the Beach Barn is definitely a great house that we would highly recommend.

A Last Min Getaway in a Beautiful Island

The property was very unique compared to all the other ones in the island. Outside of the expected mosquitos and summer rain, the property worked out for our need. The only advice I can provide is to bring an iPad or laptop that you can watch any movies/TV shows as there isn't much in terms of entertainment options. As some have stated, you'll want to bring a hotspot device as both our AT&T and T-Mobile devices did not get good signal inside . As for those looking to go to the beach, you are within walking distance from the beach and if you choose to rent a golf cart, they are fun to ride around parts of the island. For the summer time, expect a lot of areas to not be accessible via the cart as there is a lot of standing water. Overall, we loved our trip and can't wait to return.

Beach Barn Getaway

We had such an amazing time at the Beach Barn. My husband and I have been going to the island for several years. We have stayed at several different locations and the Beach Barn is by far our favorite. The house has such a nostalgic feel and reminds us of how it was when we came down as "kids". The house has all the amenities we needed. Well stocked for the island. We loved the Blackstone Grill! The location is an easy walk to beach and bay. Another favorite was the chair swings downstairs. I really actually did swing myself to sleep!!!!! We loved Mr. David!!! He was very accommodating. Making sure we had everything before we even arrived to the island, as well as taking care of us during our stay. We enjoyed even swamping "old" stories about the island with Mr. David. We highly recommend the Beach Barn on LGI!!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

I only have positive words for our stay at your house. The host's attention was impeccable, the house was in perfect condition, very well equipped and clean. The isolation, the surroundings of the house, the sandy paths, the proximity to the beach. The whole atmosphere is perfect for a time of disconnection and relaxation. Thank you very much.

This house was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. It was updated and the home had everything you could want/need for a relaxing beach vacation. I really appreciated the top quality cooking and kitchen appliances, the super soft toilet paper (ladies you totally know what I mean), upgraded sheets and pillows. The host was timely in responding and the caretaker introduced himself within hours of us arriving. The beach was beautiful and not at all crowded. You have to take a water taxi to the island and you need to book that one week in advance. Make sure to bring all groceries with you. Although they had plenty of spices available. I will be coming back and staying here again!

We created some lasting family memories here! Amazingly clean home stocked with everything you need, and most of what you want in terms of a day at the beach and cooking meals in the kitchen. The lower level space and outside shower were surprise highlights of our week! A few FYIs: if you don't have a boat, make water taxi reservations well in advance and plan to pay at least $80+tip each way (5 people). Also, all 3 bedrooms are on the top floor with a narrow staircase access (see photos).This was no problem for us, but might be for others. We highly recommend this home!!

This property was awesome! There is plenty of room and the beds are comfortable. We did rent a golf cart and it was a great addition to seeing the island. We enjoyed it!

This was the perfect house for 2 families to share. The downstairs patio and games in storage provided hours of entertainment for everyone. The maps on VRBO don’t do it justice how close it is to both the dock and the beach, you can walk to either in less than 3 minutes…we didn’t need a golf cart to get around. The property manager was very helpful and took the garbage away for us, which we’ve had to pay extra for at other properties.

Wow! Wow! Wow!

So impressed with, The Island Beach Barn! Have stayed on island several times and we have found our staple place! The property manager, Dave, was awesome and he was spot on. The Barn was stocked and so well layed out. We did not want for anything. Loved the grills and used multiple times a day . Very clean and plenty of room!! The outdoor patios was our favorite spots.

Great house, great amenities, great kitchen supplies. Property manager was super helpful. Proximity to the dock was nice - when dragging luggage, coolers, etc it’s nice to have a short walk from dock to house. I highly recommend.

Couldn’t have asked for more!

We have been to the island several times, it’s one of our favorite places to be. This was our first time staying at this beautiful property but it won’t be our last. David, the property manager, was so nice and helpful from our arrival to the day we left. The house itself was perfect for our family of four, we have two teenage girls. The house was super clean, looked to be newly updated, nicely decorated, and well stocked with everything you could need. Aside from groceries of course, those you will need to get from the mainland before heading over on the ferry. We can’t wait to stay here and enjoy this special place again.

Nothing but great things to say about the Beach Barn!

The home was very well stocked and equipped. It had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. The home was very clean and well maintained. Dave the Property Manager was very responsive to any questions we had and made us feel welcomed. We wish we had stayed longer to explore more of the island.
