About this property

Private Cottage on Lake Champlain

Welcome to the Nease Camp Cottage!

Our property is at the end of a private road on Lake Champlain north of St. Alban's Bay with some of the best sunsets in the world. The shale-covered beach includes use of the dock, canoes, rowboat, hammock, & a fire pit. (The ladder to the loft in pictures has been replaced by a spiral staircase.)

Week-long use during the summer. Partial week bookings available Sept-Oct.

Please note due to high demand, we must adhere to the cancellation policy as listed.

You will love the view of the lake through four glass sliders inside and from the over-sized outdoor deck. The cottage features three bedrooms with queen beds and a spiral-staircased loft with four singles (including bunk bed).

You'll love the wide beach. There is an outdoor shower on the deck to clean those kiddos before dinner.

There is plenty of parking on our property.

We own the smaller cottage right next door as well that we are working on, but are not currently listing it on AirBnB. We are available by phone, text, and email.

We may be staying at the smaller cottage next door from time-to-time, but are generally not immediately available. No one else stays in that cottage as of the summer of 2023. You are welcome to the whole of the beach in front of both cottages (including the fire pit).

Our cottage is minutes from St. Alban's Bay and all it has to offer: the St. Alban's Bay park (playground, basketball court, walking paths and more), the Bay Store ice cream stand, and a farmers' market not to be missed late spring through early fall. Just a couple miles further and you're in the heart of St. Alban's City with another farmers' market, plenty of cozy coffee shops and restaurants, summer concerts in the evening, and a small theater. If you're looking for even more, Burlington and all it has to offer is 30-40 minutes south. Or, take the hour and a half trek up to Montreal. So much to do!

Be sure to properly enter the correct number of guests who will be present during the stay. All guests must be accounted for appropriately by age before booking. Our cottage cannot accommodate more than ten people.

You must also let us know when booking if you are bringing pets and how many. Pets are welcome for a $150 fee for the week.

We have another smaller cottage we are working on at the property that we may be at during your stay. It is not yet available to rent.

There are two outdoor cameras on the property. One faces the road entrance and will remain on. The other faces the porch and entrance to the cottage and will be turned off after your check-in.
Well-trained, well-behaved pets are allowed for an additional fee of $200.

Pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture and should be cleaned up after both inside and outside. Excess damage or waste of any sort (including from pets or their activity) will result in the loss of the security deposit. Thank you for your help in keeping our place clean!

Relaxing Retreat! We had a fantastic week at the Neese Cottage. Peaceful and private location, immaculately maintained home, comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen. We canoed, fished (and caught) and spent lazy afternoons relaxing at the property. Location is phenomenal. St. Albans city is short drive for shopping and dining. Burlington is about 30 minutes and Montreal 1.5 hours.

The host, Jeremy, was incredible from the moment we booked right on through our arrival. My husband loves fishing and Jeremy gave us the inside scoop on the lake. The owners, Dennis and Linda, stayed in the cabin next door and they were SO NICE. We loved chatting with them as we were out with our dogs in the mornings and they were enjoying their coffee. Our young adult kids had a great time kayaking, fishing, and floating in the lake, and the inside of the house was puzzle and board game central. The sunsets were stunning every night and the air was cool and crisp in the mornings even though it was July. Location is close to all the necessities and we even spent a nice day in Burlington which was only about 40 minutes away. We were there with seven people and had plenty of beds and rooms to give everyone some privacy. This is the first time we’ve really had all four of our young adult kids (plus one partner) together for an extended period of time and it was the perfect setting. Thank you, Jeremy, Linda, and Dennis!
