About this property
On the water with Dock & Great Location
Great cabin located directly on Tims Ford Lake. Cabin has been updated and includes nice, well stocked kitchen as well as a deck (with grill). Enjoy our dock - fish, swim and use our two kayaks, paddle board and a canoe. Plenty of space to tie your boat up to our dock in a mostly private cove. Please read the guest access section for more details on lake access.
Cabin is two stories. One bedroom with queen bed down and another bedroom upstairs with two twins and one double. Kitchen, bath, nice den with sofa (not a sleeper) and dining area and a nice deck with table and chairs and a gas grill. Stack washer and dryer in home. Kitchen has side by side refrigerator w/Ice & water, dishwasher, and range. Please note - The fireplace is electric.
Tims Ford is known for its small mouth bass fishing. Good fishing from our dock as well (bring your own poles and gear).
You will have dock access to use our dock with a covered boat slip. Besides the slip, there is plenty of room to tie up a second boat or Jet Ski. The dock has an open deck area (about 18' x 8') for sunning, fishing and hanging out. There is also two covered areas (about 4' x 20 each'). We have a table, chairs (8) and umbrella for your use. Great swimming off the dock (there is a ladder) . From the cabin, the view of the lake is blocked by tree's in the summer but pretty open in the winter.
NOTE - Our dock is down a relatively steep hill with a paved path (first 100 yards or so) and then less steep mulched path (about 50 yards or so). There are no steps.
You are welcome to use our two kayaks, canoe and paddle board (paddles supplied but please bring your own life jackets - WE DO NOT PROVIDE LIFE JACKETS - Life jackets are a TN state law and are required to use our canoe, kayaks or paddle board). There is a public boat ramp about 5 minutes away if you bring your boat.
From the cabin, the view of the lake is blocked by tree's in the summer but pretty open in the winter.
Our home is conveniently located 10 minutes from Winchester, TN. Winchester offers grocery stores and a Walmart, along with several restaurant choices. We are close to Jack Daniels Distillery, Tims Ford Sate Park Golf, the Caverns , hiking and many other attractions.
We have WIFI and YouTube TV. There is a 32" TV and a DVD player that you can hook up to for movies. We do have some games.

Loved this cabin! Location was great and appreciated the house being friendly. Only downfall is the steep walk to the dock, but it's super nice that it is paved! Thanks!
We had a great time swimming, fishing and boat on our boat. We greatly appreciate the use of the outside toys you supplied. We were very comfortable with the beds and the dogs had a great time also. Thank you so much for your hospitality
We enjoyed our stay. Place was comfortable and had everything we needed- though we spent very little time in the house, because…The dock was fantastic- swimming and boating all day from a private dock that is just a short walk from the house! We loved being able to maximize our family fun time on the water!
We had an amazing stay, and would recommend this to anyone looking for a little getaway. We fished from the dock, grilled dinner on the back deck while the some rain storms rolled through. If you have a boat with you, the dock is clean and well kept.
Check in was super easy, the property was clean and the owner was awesome! My son even left a stuffed animal and they shipped it back! The location is amazing and the hike down to the dock was steep like mentioned but for me and my sons, it wasn’t too bad like some made it out to be. The cove was amazing and I really liked how everything had a place. We will definitely recommend coming here and will stay again in the future!
We had a short weekend stay before the grand kids headed back to school! It was so much fun! Lake house was great. Kayaks and paddle board were loads of fun!
Was off the beaten path. Nice but the neighbors was walking all over the property. Didn’t like that aspect.

Thanks for letting us know. Turns out it was the renters at our other rental next door. We will make sure we let our guests know that they should only use the property they rented.
Beautiful cozy cabin. Everything there you need. Has kayak and canoe on the dock to use. (kayaks were a bit dirty from the standing water) Had a nice relaxing weekend.
It was too chilly for us to fish. It would be a great summertime getaway. Lots of games and internet if you are stranded inside. We had a very relaxing weekend. The cabin was very well laid out with a cute kids loft.
This property is exactly as shown. The house is older but everything you want in a lake house. Super clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved being able to kayak every day and use the boat dock when we rented a boat. Owner was great to work with
Everything was as described. House was perfect for a weekend get-a-way. The only negative thing I can say is if you have any mobility issues the walk up and down to the boat dock is EXTREMLY steep. I am still recovering from both knee and hip replacements so it was difficult to do several times a day. Other than that it was a wonderful stay and we were very pleased with everything. The owner was quick to answer all questions and very easy to communicate with!
The house was just the right size for our family. We have 3 young kids ages 7,7,9. They loved being able to have their own space upstairs. We took our dog with us & it was the perfect place for him to be able to have some freedom to explore. The dock was private with great swimming. It also had a nice spot for catching bluegill. It had the feel of being remote but close enough to town for a Walmart run or a DoorDash dinner delivery. We really enjoyed our vacation here.
Had a wonderful stay at this property! The cabin is simple but clean and has the things needed to make the stay as enjoyable as possible! It's a steep walk to the dock, but once there, there are toys (paddle board, canoe, 2 kayaks) and a nice covered slip for a boat. The dock is wide enough to fish, swim or tie up another boat if desired. The cove is quiet and clean with only a few other docks inside. Lots of birds to watch and other wildlife to see. Absolutely loved everything about this property!
Very quite and cozy. Equipped with every thing u need. Steep walk to the dock but we did get our exercise in lol. A slight musty smell when we first walked in. Was expecting a little more view of the lake.

Hi Sharon. Thanks for staying and your comments! We always appreciate feedback to help us improve our guests experience. As noted in our listing, the winter view of the lake is much more open but leaves block most of the view in the summer. We are currently building another rental home next door that will be right on the water. It's a much larger property (4 bedroom). Keep us in mind for either (or both) on your next lake trip! Thanks again. Andy

Laura and I purchased the cabin when our kids were two and four. We outgrew it a few years ago and built a larger home on the lake in the same neighborhood. We used the cabin as a guest house until 2018 when we decided to share this great experience on Tims Ford lake with others. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
Our guests say we have thought of everything.
What makes this property unique
Great little cabin in the woods, directly on Tims Ford lake in a very private cove. Enjoy the use of our two kayaks, canoe and paddle board. We supply the paddles, but please bring your own life jackets if you plan to do lake activities. Wearing life jackets is the law when boating on the lake. Bring your fishing gear and fish from the dock, canoe or your boat. Our neighborhood has a boat ramp and locked parking lot to store your trailer. You will have access to our dock to fish, sun and hang out.
