In La ColombiĂšre, a place of relaxation and rest, you will enjoy the green landscape and the many facilities at your disposal.

The swimming pool and its large terrace will delight young and old. You will take advantage of the shaded awning of the barn to have your breakfasts and meals in peace. You can also retire to the reading area in the mezzanine.

This large gite, cool in summer, is located in a fully restored barn and can accommodate two to four people. It has a beautiful equipped kitchen, a living room with TV and sofa bed, and a bedroom, as well as plenty of storage for a comfortable stay. With a refined aesthetic, the decoration combines the old and the contemporary. You will enjoy a remarkable view of the park and its 18th century dovecote.

The property is located in the heart of the purple PĂ©rigord vineyards, in an area of 3 ha, and many hiking trails crisscross the countryside.

If you want more sleeping, you can also rent the Muscadelle cottage which is located at the left end of the barn.

From La ColombiĂšre, you can easily visit a region rich in natural sites, renowned for its prehistoric and historical sites and with an exceptional heritage.

You will have access to the entire accommodation and to the shared central space of 180m2 with mezzanine, furnished with a sofa, armchairs, tables and libraries where books for young and old are at your disposal. The central area includes a ping pong table.
You will also have access to the park and the terrace in front of the barn where you have a dining area with a table and chairs.
Shared use of the 11m x 5m heated swimming pool, from 10h to 19h, from May to October.
Wireless internet is available throughout the property.

You will have a work space for laptop and a private entrance, accessible from a porch after a few steps.

Relaxing and enjoyable holiday

We had a very relaxing holiday in this gite. Olivia and Alain are friendly and helpful and we spent a very pleasant evening putting the world to rights over aperitifs. It is in a peaceful area but close to all amenities, including a very well stocked shop and a boulangerie in Bouniagues, and there is plenty to see and do in the area. The gite itself was very comfortable and clean and the pool was lovely with stunning views. We really enjoyed our holiday.

A pre wedding stay

We stayed at Olivia’s cottage for 5 nights before our wedding in France. We spent the time relaxing by the beautiful pool and it was the perfect place to unwind. A beautifully designed 1 bedroom gite which was perfect for 2 people. Beautifully situated with wonderful views & pool. Excellent shop & bakery in the nearby village The outdoor space is shared with the owners & the 2nd gite.. The Wi Fi connection was not always reliable. The owners were very friendly & welcoming and we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic and beautiful retreat with excellent facilities and wonderful host!

We are a family of four and had the pleasure of spending 7 nights in Olivia and Alain’s property. The space was ideal and very well finished with lovely furnishings. The location is idyllic and the setting with the Dovecot and outdoor pool make this truly a great place to relax, swim, sunbathe and enjoy the Perigourd region. We spent a wonderful week chez Alain and Olivia. La ColombiĂšre is an amazing place to stay. Alain and Olivia beautifully restored the buildings and the garden with perfect eye for detail and its surroundings into a great and relaxing place in the PĂ©rigord. The apartments, the swimming pool and the dovecote are equally beautifully designed and taken care of. Olivia and Alain receive you with warmth, lovely wine from the region, foie gras, many good conversations and suggestions for nice things to do and places to eat in the region. Very welcoming and beautiful location

We were received very hospitably and immediately felt very welcome. The apartment is beautiful and we had enough space for the four of us, the common area was nice, especially for our children. Beautiful gite for a restful holiday

We spent two very enjoyable weeks in this tastefully designed gite. There was no one else in the other house, so we had the luxury of having the place to ourselves. The owners, who live on-site, couldn't have been more hospitable. We enjoyed chatting with them very much and they were always available when needed, but never intrusive. There are plenty of places to visit in the area - castles, caves, attractive villages and of course chateaux for wine-tasting. Our house was listed as being for four, but we felt that four adults would have found it rather cramped. It was absolutely ideal for two, with a fantastic rain shower and separate toilet and a well-designed kitchen. The swimming pool was a lovely temperature and the water felt very soft. It's not very deep, so not suitable for diving, but that suited us very well. All in all, we would definitely recommend this property!

A beautiful stay in Southern France

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bouniagues, close to Bergerac in Southern France and by the end we were very sad to leave. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel completely at home. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable towards us. The accommodation was very well equipped, a real home from home. The grounds of the barn conversion were a real delight to behold, maintained to the highest standard. It truly is a hidden gem surrounded by beautiful countryside amongst the vineyards. I cannot recommend this place nor the owners highly enough. The weather in April was just right not to hot nor cold. We will definitely be returning to this treasured place again.

We live next to the barn. We Have a golden retriever and a small cat. After an intense professional life in finance and architecture, we devote ourselves toour passions : restoration of old mansions, art, litterature, gardening and vintage cars.

Why they chose this property

Our property is an ancient farm dating back to 1850 and located in a valley alternating cultures and forests. Coming from Paris Area, we acquired it in 2006, in order to reduce professional activity for my husband as an architect, who settled there when I was still working in Paris. As we did not want to stay in Paris, we chose Dordogne for its landscapes , its housing and its heritage and as this region was not only a tourist place but had an economic life of its own and therefore an authenticity. My husband being still in activity during this life change, it was easier to integrate this new region. We entirely restored the property, preserving the characteristics of its old architecture while highliqhting them with by a modern approach. Having now settled down , we want to share this exceptional place. This will allow us to develop this place and cultivate exchanges with tourists while respecting their intimacy. The space and its organisation allows freedom to everyone without making others feel ill-at-ease. We look forward to presenting our region and its numerous resources.

What makes this property unique

The Colombiers seduced us for its location within countryside, its view on the valley and its landscaped park. The farm now entirely renovated allies modern comfort and aesthetics. Life place, the Colombiere is a serenity haven. At afternoon end, the dovecot reflects itself in the swimming pool and you will be delighted to take a bath while contemplating the landscape and the rails of the sunset. At night, you will enjoy the lightened dovecot.
