Walk your dog to the beach from this salt box house in the sleepy end-of-the road village of Dillon Beach.
Enjoy the spectacular views of Tomales Bay, Pt. Reyes National Seashore and the Pacific Ocean. Wine country and San Francisco are just an hour away.
Lots of great food is close by, including the Tomales Bay shellfish restaurants in Marshall and Pt. Reyes Station, and the many fine eateries of Bodega Bay, including the Dillon Beach Cafe.
This two story house is fully furnished, has a fireplace and a large deck. Both bedrooms and bath are located on the main floor, living room, dining room and Kitchen are located on the top floor. If you're looking for water sports, shopping, sightseeing or just plain relaxing, you can't beat the village of Dillon Beach, Marin County's hidden gem.

A comfortable beach retreat

The location was perfect with a short walk to the beach and fun neighborhood setting. The beds are comfy and the host responded quickly to our needs. The view of the ocean is stupendous!

Amazing view, super comfortable and clean

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend and really enjoyed it. The home has a panoramic view of the ocean, an open kitchen/living room layout, and super clean rooms. A comfy bed, large bath/shower, nice terrace, and enclosed back yard for our dog were all plusses. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome

We spent our days at Lawson’s Landing with my son-in-law and family who was camping and this location was super close beautiful view overlooking the ocean.

Great Place to Stay

Great Place to stay. The only thing that was hard was working the TV. We couldn’t get it to work at all the whole time. Easy access to walk to the beach. Great Neighborhood.

We loved our rental at Dillon Beach. So handy just to walk down to the beach. We did so every day. Beautiful view from the deck! The house was cozy and comfortable and Linda was very helpful with any questions we had.

The house was lovely, beds excellent. Location perfect. We would have liked more bath towels and a few more items in the kitchen such as a water kettle, large measuring cups, salad servers, storage containers for the fridge.

Our stay near the beach

A few suggestions, tables on both sides of the bed, grab bars in the shower, bigger tv's and more tables in the living room. The location was great with nice views. The house had everything we needed. The beds were great. we would come back again.

Simply simple

We had everything needed and then some. The views are outstanding, beds are comfortable and bathroom is clean and bright. It’s just a short walk to the beach and we took advantage 2x a day. Our visit followed a huge week of wind and rain yet we were always warm and cozy.

Seven Shells

This is my third visit to Seven Shells. I am comfortable there and always have a wonderful time. Linda Martin and John The property managers are very accommodating and accessible to requests. I look forward to my next trip in a month or so.

Convenient and well laid out.

Pleasant and clear communications with the property manager & owner. Lovely walk to beach; enjoyed clear days and foggy ones as well. Comfortable bedrooms & bright tiled bath downstairs. Upstairs has open plan with window views of the hills and water. So comfortable, we ask to stay an additional night.

Seven Shells

This is the 8 th visit to Seven Slhells. We found the cottage clean and ready for us. The bed room was updated with a queen bed and beautiful with beautiful bedding The added amenities in the bathroom were a nice touch. As always communication with Linda was excellent. We look forward to our next visit in the near futiure. This is the only place we will go to becausse we know it well and are comforting

Nice Cottage With View in Dillon Beach

Nice view of the ocean and beach from the back porch.Property was clean and tidy.Check in was a little challenging only because the lockbox is very difficult to open-similar for checkout.Furniture is old and a little worn but functional.Beds comfortabe.Would be helpful to have night stands on both sides of the master bed.Kitchen was good, but some of the pans are not in good repair.We would definitely stay again though.

Unfortunately the quality of the home was a disappointment for such a high price point.

So disappointing. I miss my old Dillon Beach before it was overrun by greed. The market and beach are still as glorious as ever, but the rentals are highway robbery. woof.

Great option in a quiet, beautiful area

I really enjoyed staying here. The view from the deck is beautiful, the open living room space is comfy, and the home was spotlessly clean and serviceable. It was nice to have an ocean view home at this price point, and we really liked having two couches in the living area so we could spread out and relax. The property manager communicated well before the stay, and we didn't need to chat during the stay. I didn't give it 5 stars because the twin beds in the second bedroom were quite uncomfortable. We hope they remove the plastic mattress coverings, which are loud when you shift in bed, are quite thick (so you feel the plastic), and make the bed very hot quickly. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable however. We recommend the home if you don't need the second bedroom.

Adequate but not well-equipped

The GOOD: Home adequate. Beds comfy, loved fireplace. The BAD: Have rented several homes at Dillon Beach over the past 10 yrs and am a bit persnickety because I owned a company that did rentals and did it very well. The back yard had several inches of straw that our dog had to almost swim in to use and did not like that at all. Also ended up with itchy paws, that transferred to me with a weird rash. Who knew I was allergic to straw or was it something else? Similar to poison oak, which I was nowhere near during stay. Never had any kind of dermatitis reaction to anything except poison oak, so that was weird. Thankfully, it was minor and is clearing up. Second, the highly scented laundry soap permeated the whole home. Especially the bedrooms, where we had to sleep with windows open. Apparently, nobody got the memo that most rentals are using unscented laundry detergent because many people are sensitive to that. This is the first I have encountered in years. Last, we had to drive to Petaluma for kitchen supplies because there were no baking sheets, no storage containers with lids or anything that could be used to store food. Not one sharp knife. We purchased these items and left them behind (you’re welcome) because that really sucks—this was the most sparsely equipped kitchen we have ever encountered in a rental and don’t appreciate having to take half a day out of our vacation to purchase standard kitchen items.

The rental was clean, well-equipped and a short walk to the beach. Also, it has an ocean view out the dining room window. Having said that, the view was somewhat compromised by a telephone pole and lines. This was erased in the photo in the available photos of the property.

Not good for elderly. Stairs too steep to main floor and only one bath on bedroom floor so commuting steps was many times per day.The house was not very well decorated. Nothing matched and some deterioration on things that could have been done. Bed was comfortable.Also we paid a whole bunch of extra fees ( I think around 500 and I am not sure what that was for) We were required to do a lot more work to stay here rather than a hotel. All the cleaning, dishes, trash removal, etc. Didn't seem to be worth it for the extra fees.
