Super convenient location, comfortable bed, shower was a bit small/low, nice snacks, cleanliness was adequate to be comfortable (I am super picky). Enjoyed the free glass of wine upon check in at winery across the street!
This was a fantastic location for exploring the area. Check in was easy with a good amount of parking. The room was well appointed with great small touches like snack, drinks and nice toiletries. The bed was SO comfortable and the room was very quiet. Without a doubt an excellent place to stay!
We had a wonderful visit in Carlton. The lofts are delightful, and the free wine tasting at Ken Wright Cellars was such a lovely gesture. Don’t hesitate! Book a stay!!!
We loved the central location of The Lofts to so many winery destinations. Our unit had everything we needed for our two night stay and for the most part was very comfortable (the mattresses on the pullout couches really need to be replaced). We would definitely book a stay here again.
Convenient to the wine area. Very walkable in the town and to the local restaurants. Bonus of Jaya washer and dryer available. Very poor service for clean towels, linens and bathroom essentials.
The loft is beautiful. It is very well designed with quality construction. It is well equipped and comfortable. The shower was awesome! Being on the main street in Carlton the traffic is a bit noisy during the day, but quiet at night. Great location to visit wineries.
Visited Carlton to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We stayed for 2 nights and it was the perfect place to have as a home base for a day of wine tasting in the area. It was a very clean studio space with exactly what we needed: coffee, a refrigerator for snacks and drinks, and a door on to the small main street to walk to and from the restaurants and in town tasting rooms. The free wine tasting at Ken Wright, one of our favorite wines, was the cherry on top. Will definitely look at staying in one of the lofts again when we return to the area.
Stayed here many times but in a different room. Always clean, neat and spacious. This time our room fronted the street. No noise insulation. The heavy trucks hit the potholes in the roadway outside. Makes quite a racket.
The loft was clean, spacious and comfortable. The tasting at Ken Weight Cellars was wonderful. Carlton is a very cute town and we loved the tasting, dining and shopping offerings that were all within walking distance. Carrie was very helpful with our arrangements. Everything was five star except for the street noise (as noted by others), which started around 4 in the morning and went until 10 or 11 at night. We would stay again, but feel it’s only fair to honestly inform future guests.

Avoid room 3
Expensive for small room with no table to eat or work from. Heat and TV did not work. Promised a complementary bottle of wine as compensation but it never materialized.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
one room was on street and very noisy
Two rooms. One in back was great. One on street was not so good. very noisy, trucks making noise in middle of night. Web site should mention this. Also note that there was no towel service (stayed two nights) and did not give extra towels, and did not tell us there would be no towel service. Luckily we hung up towels. Good location, except we stayed Tuesday and Wednesday and most restaurants and bars were closed those nights.
Overall the loft was very pleasant. Our check in time was between 3pm and 5pm. We arrived at the Ken Wright tasting room at 3:45pm and when we said we were checking in the lady stated I was just about to call you to see if you were coming (not a great introduction)! The overall cleanliness was good however there was leftover food in the fridge from previous guests. The loft was # 3 at the front of the building. It was very noisy especially in the morning 5:30-6am until about 7:30am. Lots of big semi's coming through the town at that time. We stayed 4 nights and did get used to the noise after the first morning. I would stay there again but would request a room at the back of the building. The location was very convenient to the restaurants in Carlton.
This was the perfect place to stay for a few days in the heart if wine country. There are numerous great tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops within walking distance. The local bakery was great for coffee and breakfast. Definitely eat at Cuvee for dinner. Besides Ken Wright Cellers which owns this unit, around the back of the unit is Trembly winery which is very humble looking but has great Pinot. You can easily park on arrival and never use the car again for the entire stay. There are also many, many great wineries less than a fifteen minute drive. Saffron Fields is a beatiful and unique experience. The unit is well appointed but overlooks the main street which can be noisy. If you want to stay on the rear side of the building, choose unit 5 or 6. There are a lot of stairs to get into the building and in the unit, the kitchen and bathroom are a half step up from the main living area. This unit is not ADA accessable.
Great location with easy access to the surrounding vineyards. Carlton has plenty of dining and wine tasting options for our two day stay. We liked our spacious and nicely decorated unit. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
We had a nice stay at The Lofts. We had one maintenance issue that was dealt with very promptly and professionally. The room was large and comfortable with complimentary snacks and coffee/tea and a complimentary wine tasting across the street. The only thing to note was some main street noise and the live music from downstairs restaurant on Fridays and Saturday evenings was loud but was over by 8pm.
