Ocean Cottage 44 You will feel light as and renewed after visiting Ocean 44. This 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath townhome style cottage is located on the oceanfront in the desirable Cottages at Jekyll Island Community. Breathtaking ocean views from both floors. Open concept kitchen, dining and living area, master suite (KING), powder room, and screened porch all on the main floor. The second floor has two bedrooms (Queen) with a private bath open to a large oceanfront upper balcony with rockers. A full laundry is also located on the second floor. A paved patio with a grill and a single-car garage complete the cottage. Harwood, floors, granite counters, stainless appliances. Just a few steps to the amenities and beach access. Amenities include a Clubhouse, oceanfront zero-entry pool, beach deck, beach access, community fire pit, and fitness center which are included in the rental.

3 car parking 2 driveway spaces and 1 garage.- No trailers of any kind allowed.

BEACH ACCESS AT THE COTTAGES
Overview: The Cottages beach is about 2,000 feet long, featuring a dune area and seawall.
Access Points: There are three dune crossovers to the sandy area, always accessible for recreation. Main access is near the pool and clubhouse.
Tide Information: At high tide, water reaches the seawall, changing every six hours. Check a tide chart to plan your beach time.
Nearby Facilities: Oceanview Beach Park, about 2 miles south past the Holiday Inn, offers all-day ocean access. Explore all Jekyll Island beaches on their website.
Important Note: Storms may affect beach crossover access, and we cannot guarantee beach access at all times.

This is a beautiful beachfront property. Beware though that the two upstairs bedrooms have a rather long staircase which my elderly mother could not navigate. Little to no hot water in kitchen sink. Stunning views

The property is modern and stylish. It is well furnished and has adequate supplies. The amenities are first class as well. The view makes the location perfect. Sleeping to the sound of ocean waves was icing on the cake.

Beautiful house and gorgeous view

My friend and I had a perfect long weekend at this house. It is beautifully decorated and a lovely place to hang out. We loved sitting on the screened porch with the ocean view. It was our first time to Jekyll Island, and we would love to stay here again when the pandemic is over so we could explore restaurants!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time on Jekyll Island. We have stayed at the Cottages several times, though this was the first time in this particular one. It was nice, and we appreciated the fact that the upstairs stayed as cool as the first floor. There is also an ocean view from both levels, which was important to us as some of us are elderly.

Email communication from property management was very thorough. The info book left on the kitchen island was filled with helpful details about our stay at the cottage and about the island. The cottage was very clean! They thought of everything we may need (even small bags with a trash bag, soups, dis detergent, etc). Highly recommend renting!

The beach experience was a bit disappointing due to high tide. However, the pool made up for it. Note that you will need to pay a parking fee to actually get on Jekyll Island.

Great condo

The condo is exactly as described in the listing, was clean, and the location is great - near driftwood beach and the fishing pier. When we arrived we had an issue with the hvac, called and received a response within 10 minutes. We left for the day and the heat was fixed when we returned. Will likely be back.

Perfect location for our long weekend girls trip! *Very responsive and helpful *Comfy beds *beautiful home and safe neighborhood *love that all 3 BR had an attached bath! *garage is a great plus * kitchen is basic stock only, no extras like oven mits *coffee maker is super basic and no timer *towels could be softer Overall awesome and we'd definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone 😊 Bonus pluses...SSI very close, Savannah a doable drive, island grocery (Jekyll Market) is cute (closes 6pm)

Great place but fridge was filthy

I've rented these cottages 6 or 7 times over the years for work trips to the island. Love the cottages and location. But this year the fridge was disgusting. Dirt and hundreds of dead flies ranging from little fruit flies to larger flies. Really gross.

For high quality of this condo, we were disappointed that kitchen was missing dish towels, 9x13 pan, steak knives, grill is old and dirty, 2 chairs in dining room were wobbly. Also, no curtains or blinds in 2nd story bedrooms. Loved location and island though.

Overall this cottage is great. Well furnished and decorated with beautiful views, and 3bed/3bath all with water front views. Arrival instructions were easy, and it was very clean. It didn’t rate a 5/5 for some simple things that make a big difference. The bath towels were paper thin and super tiny. Having a nice fluffy towel feels luxurious. A good coffee maker is essential. The Amazon basic coffee maker overflowed and we ended up using a tiny 4-cup coffee maker for our whole stay. The paper supplies were in short supply. One roll of toilet paper per bathroom and no back up. Finally paying a housekeeping fee but having to take our own garbage and recycling to a massive stinky compactor across the property was a bummer. I tried to call the office to ask about it but no one answered. Overall these are not big things and the place is charming, well situated, and the locals are nice, but the little things impacted our impression. The amenities on the property are nice … gym, pool, and beach access.

Interesting place, but is not worth the money.

It is an ok place, but definitely overpriced. The communication with the property managers was less than customer-oriented. Again, for the price some of the furnishings were tired and the showers always felt musty.

The instant hot water heater blew out twice. Took some time to get it serviced. No one mentioned the tide makes the beach unusable most of the time. You need to drive to a public beach further down the island.
