Located on the North side in the lovely Richardson's Landing community. Offers a large back deck and a separate screened area to sit and enjoy the amazing views.

Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. Sunrise on Chincoteague

The location of this home is spectacular with a gorgeous view of Oyster Bay. The home is comfortable. However, there were a few small issues, such as the toaster not working and although the amenities listed a grill, it was in the back of a garage behind broken chairs - not easily accessible if even usable. Also, the furniture on the screened in porch was a disappointment for us. All that said, we would return for the location, alone.

Lovely bay front view

First, the house is located directly bayfront which I didn’t think was clear on the listing so that was a pleasant surprise. The house is spacious enough for a small family of 4-5 with a cozy living area, deck overlooking the bay which is wonderful in the evening. As an honest review, I will say that the bed in the master bedroom is extremely hard and the appliances are dated with the toaster not working properly and the coffee maker rusted. Many lights are burnt out or not working which was disappointing for the gazebo since we couldn’t make use of the space after dark to eat dinner or play games as a family. Overall we had a good time but having stayed on this island multiple times before, this has been my least favorite rental just for the lack of very essential items that other rentals offer. There is a dishwasher, no detergent, no trash bags, no bath mat in the master bathroom or scrubbing pad for the pans. A few alterations would make this a very nice rental.

Beautiful property but be prepared

The location and the outside of home were great! The back porch and the screened in gazebo were wonderful! The location on the bay is beautiful and fairly quiet. However, we werent quite prepared and had to run to the local Dollar General for some things. The place says "no linens" so we came woth bath towels, pillows and sheets but there was also no toilet paper except for the partial roll that was still hanging and no paper towels or napkins. If that type of thing falls under "no linens", its news to us and we wish it would have been directly specified. There was also some things that needed attention. We went to use the hose to clean our kayaks and the spray nozzle was so corroded it snapped eight off. The landscaping must have been nice at one time but is completely overtaken with weeds. A lot of the inside is very outdated and feels like you walked into a home from the 80's. Its comfortable but would have liked to see more improvements there personally. Overall, we would love to stay there again but know we must be more prepared.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Harbour Rentals was a pleasure to deal with. The positives on this property: Great view, clean, comfortable beds, had adequate kitchen. Negatives: needs overall cosmetic makeover. The screened in porch would have been very cute had it not had a large hole in screen, rough picnic table and no lights. Back porch would have been nice if not for the loose tacks and wood which was in great need of replacing (couldn't walk on it without shoes). Even though wifi was advertised in brochure, we never had it. Landscaping looked like no one cared for it in a long time. We would not come back to this property for the negatives mentioned above.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good? Location, Location, Location. Located at the end of a quiet neighborhood and on the water. The property is aptly named as the sunrises were beautiful. The not-so-good? Very dated interior. I am convinced the owners don't want you to stay too long as there was not a single piece of comfortable furniture in the house. The primary bedroom's mattress was a bit like sleeping on the picnic table. Be Warned. The Ring cameras were a turn-off as well. I get they are used for security purposes as it is a bit of a remote location at the end of the road, but I am not a fan of feeling like I am being watched while coming and going or while relaxing on the deck. This alone would prevent me from staying at this home in the future, which is a shame, as the location is perfect. Finally, whoever cleaned the house before our arrival didn't do the best job on the floors. I am convinced my vacuum job prior to checkout was better than what they got paid to do. Do better.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overrall experience was positive. House well located with nice view of Oyster Bay. House clean and in good working order, although lighting was somewhat dim. Please be aware that, unlike virtually all of the listings we looked at from various vacation rental agents, this house does NOT provide wifi, which I did not notice when we rented it or we would have chosen another place. I do not have a smartphone so had to go to library or coffee shop to get online and check my emails. Given the price we paid ($1,400 for a week), I consider lack of wifi to be chintzy on the part of the owners. Would also be nice to have decent, comfortable outdoor furniture (like Adirondack chairs) on the deck/gazebo to enjoy the view, rather than the cheap, uncomfortable plastic furniture that is there. There are no TV/cable instructions in the house and it took me about 1-1/2 hours to figure out how to make it work, and I am fairly savvy re: electronics/computers. Also, please note that the floating dock in the bay that is visible in one of the pictures belongs to the house next door, NOT Sunrise. For a small boat or kayak (or crab pot), I think one would have to tie up to the pilings on the property along the adjacent canal, assuming that is permissible. Despite these issues, we had a nice time and were overall satisfied, although I am not recommending the house due to lack of wifi.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You can’t beat the view when sitting on the newer trex deck which also has a screened in section where the family enjoyed dinners. Yes the house is dated, but functional and perfectly stocked for a family of 5. Two minor things are that the bed in the master bedroom is hard as bricks so recommend bringing a pillow top or even an air mattress and towels/sheets/bath mats are not provided. The entryway/mud room is amazing for coming back from the beach to contain the sand. It also worked great for keeping mosquitoes out of the main part of the house since it is Chincoteague aka mosquito town after all. If you want a quiet and relaxing vacation spot with great water views than this is a great spot.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting houses in Chincoteague for close to 20 years. We love it there. This is the first time renting this house. I was disapointed that I had to go out and buy knives and pans for cooking. For the price of this house I expected cooking items that were able to be used. These items were there but so old you could not event use them. My family really felt uncomfortable with the cameras and "ring" system in the house. At any point the owner could listen to us and we felt we had no privacy. We will be seeking houses with out these devices for years to come. Over all the house was bare bones and not welcoming. Most other houses has games, and items to use and felt that the owner wanted you to relax and enjoy your vacation.The location was good but they yard is 100% full of goose poop. I understand you cant keep out the wildlife but it was gross with so much goose poop everywhere. The yards was not really usable. Lastly there was little to no supplies like trash bags. We do not expect the house to be fully stocked but again compared to all other houses we have rented this one just felt cold and uninviting. For the price of this house I expected better smaller amenities. We will use Harbour rentals again, we never had issues with your services. But with the camreas and ring devices I doubt we will be back to this house.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: People should know that the house has both bedrooms on the main floor, which was good for my elderly parents. The top bunk is ONLY for little kids. We couldn’t get up there. Comfortable mattress’s . Don’t forget pillows. The screened in room is great. A ceiling fan/ light would be a great addition. Bring a patio umbrella, and table cloth if you want shade on the deck. The kitchen is large and we’ll equipped. The yard is unusable due to geese, but the house has a great view from the l.r.. the house is very Basic and dated, but worked out great for us. The location is nice and semi private. The tv is only roku. ( didn’t check that out). We are hoping to go back there next year.

The rest of this review is negative, The deck is splintered and weathered and has no furniture. The screened in porch has a picnic table and really nothing else. Its dark and tired inside and not well supplied although the ants seemed to be having a good time. Because of its location, this could be a great rental, but it needs help.

We enjoyed crabbing in the canal on the side of the house. Beautiful Bay sunrises in front yard, bird watching and an occasional boat checking traps a few mornings. The house was clean and comfortable, but very minimal in furnishings that were mostly older and no beachy theme at all like our usual rentals. Previous reviews were correct on the master bed mattress,definitely felt like a granite slab plus covered in plastic protector made for long nights. Bring a fluffy thick mattress pad ! Good wifi but no paperwork as to the password. It is on the modem. Would love to have some comfortable patio chairs on the front deck to sit out in the evenings. There is a weathered table with benches on the deck. Nice screened in gazebo with picnic table.

The location and view was nice. The house itself was in poor condition. The deck was worn and had many splinters . The appliances and furniture needs updating. The master bed was extremely hard. The door to the patio was hard to open and close.

The master bedroom bed was so hard it felt like we were sleeping on the floor. The deck and screened in porch could use a few minor upgrades (fixed screens, maybe sanding and staining so splinters aren't an issue.) Overall it was ok but you get what you pay for.

The home is equipped with everything for a nice stay. Our biggest complaint was the mattress in the main bedroom. It was so uncomfortable that I ended up buying an air mattress to sleep on for the stay. Our other guest had the same complaints of the other beds. Besides that it is a beautiful place to stay on the island.

Took about a hour to figure it out and what multiple electric switches went to what. Tropical storrm Isaias Coming through no flash lights , candles , or matches Had to go buy supplies. Has a grill but no grilling utensils . Queen bed mattress was horrible felt like sleeping on a marble slab. Nice deck but the enclosed portion of the porch the light was out and no way To get the fixture off and no light bulbs to replace . so,couldn’t sit outside after dark . Place was clean , nice water view. I’ve been coming to the island for years but might be nice to have brochures of attractions, restaurants,shops or any information about your house for people renting your home.

My only complaint is that the deck and its wooden furniture need an upgrade (nails not pounded in, etc.) and the bulkhead facing the water is in TERRIBLE shape. We love to crab, collect mussels and clam and it is dangerous with rusted metal exposed and no wood to stand on. We missed the extra mattress (under the bunk bed)from last year and a gas grill would be nice! Damaged screen and full septic tank were addressed by maintenance the next day so we were happy with customer service. We brought kayaks/canoe and spent most of our time on the water and at the beach. Great yard for games and wonderful location! P.S.Thank you for finally getting WIFI!

Much Needed Break

We had a great time staying here. The view of Oyster Bay and being right on the water was wonderful. We were able to put our kayaks in right off the corner at the end of the yard. House was very clean, only suggestion is to replace the burnt out light bulbs. I would definitely stay here again!
