South Bend Stay

Very well located for going to a football game. 10 minute walk to the campus, another 5 to the stadium. The property was well kept, and the owner in touch. Very pleasant stay.

Doug is always so quick to respond, which is so nice. It definitely gives me peace of mind if there were to ever be an issue. The location is great; we are able to walk to campus, or downtown, which is so convenient. This was the second time we have stayed in one of Doug’s apartments and I am sure we will be back again in the future!

It was a good small apartment

For a single person it was a good small apartment. Everything was good. It is on the backside of the McKinley road. It caused little confusion to me when I arrived. The location was otherwise accurate. 1 lamp was not working and lights were very dim in the kitchen as only one bulb was working. I had an awesome stay there.

We knew it was basic but definitely could have had simple things to add to the experience. Many at least have the basics such as salt and pepper, the bathroom curtain was rusty, the bedroom door wouldn’t shut due to bed frame which was huge inconvenience, carpet apparently hadn’t been cleaned as my socks were brown and were white when I put on to wear only in condo. Property manager was fantastic but place definitely needs basic updates. Would never rent that unit again. Could hear every footstep upstairs and was woke up at 6am every morning with them just walking.

Notre Dame getaway

Property was very clean, property owner prompt with answers to questions, only critique ihave is living room couch was not super comfortable, but that's not a biggie the rest was wonderful and it is just the right walk to the stadium for us. Will stay again when in South Bend.

Loud Neighbors and Inadequate Heat

The property was clean and organized. But the owners provided the bare minimum. The heating unit was in one room and the other room was unusually cold. The people upstairs partied until 3:00 in the morning. And the building was so poorly insulated that we felt like we were sharing a room with them. After one night with ear plugs and winter coats covering us to stay warm, we checked out early and asked the owner for a refund. No refund has been seen. This was an inexpensive room which I guess we should have "read into." The old saying applies to this one, "You get what you pay for."

Property was good for a weekend stay. Clean but under maintained. No toilet paper not a huge deal as we searched for a store. Quiet neighborhood close to campus.
