About this property

Modern and updated! Whole house near Rocky Mountain National Park

The WaterWood Chalet is located in a warm and welcoming community sandwiched between the magnificent Rocky Mountain National Park and the town of Grand in 2018 as TripAdvisor's "Best American Lake Town". Every possible outdoor mountain recreation activity is within minutes from our superb location, offering quiet solitude or adventure. Wildlife abounds, often outside your doorstep. Our updated, comfortable and ideally located home offers visitors a Rocky Mountain National Park Basecamp like no other!

We have 2 comfortable bedrooms each with a queen bed, and a large loft with 3 twins and a futon couch.

- Columbine Community has a general quiet hour policy in effect from 8pm-8am
- Columbine Lake is a private, covenant-controlled community. Renters are not
allowed to use the clubhouse, gazebo, horse pasture, OHVs or Columbine Lake. Please keep in mind as it applies to guests of renters staying in the community too. HOA membership ID is heavily policed, and violation of this policy by you or your guests could be reason for termination of the rental agreement.
- Been out hiking and gettin' muddy? AWESOME! Please keep your boots outside the cabin when you get home, and slip into some comfy slippers instead.
- There is no option for an outdoor, open fire on our property. This is a very dry and fire-prone environment meaning starting an open campfire of any kind on our property is not permissible. This is whether or not there is a county or state fire ban in place.

Perfect Location! Wonderful Home! Derek was so friendly and easy to work with!
Our kids loved the loft area! They called it their “Treehouse”. MeMaw stayed in one bedroom and my wife and I stayed in the other. The rooms were very spacious and beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. The location of this home is perfect for quickly getting into town or RMNP. We had a couple of mule deer come around the house daily. The home is very cozy with a front and back deck for hanging out after a day in the park or in town. The gas grill worked great and the kitchen had all the cookware, utensils, and dishes you could possibly need. The living area was a nice size with extra chairs available if needed. Above all, Derek was very easy to work with. Thank you for sharing your home with us Derek! It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely stay again!

Colorado stay
Overall great location, very nice place. I do wish they provided more toilet paper as it’s expensive in town and not something you want to worry about packing when going to a place like this.

Charming cabin in beautiful area!
The pictures do no justice to the true charm of this house. Updates and decorations are perfect. Kitchen is well stocked. The beds are great quality. (And I am VERY picky about beds!) I love that the loft had 3 separate twin beds and a couch instead of the standard two queens found in extra rooms. Our teen boys loved having their own spot to sleep. It was perfect! Derek is wonderful with communication and was always quick to respond. I HIGHLY recommend!!

Nice place
House is small but has enough for beds for people to sleep in. The only issue we had was that there was only 2 rolls of toilet paper for a whole week so we had to go out and buy more. There was only 1 dishwasher detergent and no dishwashing soap so we also had to go buy our own but other than that stay was nice.
