Pets food and water to be kept in laundry room. Pets must be booked in advance when making your reservation. We cannot accept dogs over 40 lbs.
Note: the property is monitored daily for dog waste. Any guest who does not pick up after their dog will be charged an added $65.

Perfect Getaway

My wife and I went for a weekend getaway. This is a perfect location if you are looking to get away from the daily grind and just relax. Very peaceful community. I would highly recommend this property.

Lake DeSoto home

Great 2 bedroom townhome. Right on the water, nice deck to view the lake. Only negative was the bedroom didn't have a night stand by the bed with a lamp. I like to read in bed.

Serenity at it’s Best

We truly enjoyed staying at this cottage again. We admire the serenity and the lovely setting. Although it has all we needed on the inside, we loved sitting outside, watching the plethora of birds (including “Harry the Heron”), listening to the lake & we even did some fishing. Won’t Disappoint!

This was our second time staying here and once again, didn’t disappoint us! Very comfortable, clean with an amazing view. We loved watching the geese gather at the water’s edge right outside our floor to ceiling windows! So beautiful! The condo is well equipped with amenities and the snacks on the table and waters in the fridge awaiting for us were an extra touch!

Sisters Weekend

Selected this property to celebrate my sister's birthday with a weekend trip. The property was perfect and the directions we received were detailed and took us right to the front door. Very quiet area with a great view of the lake. We saw chipmunks, ducks and other wildlife while sitting on the deck. The neighbor was friendly. The kitchen had all of the utensils we needed. The beds and linens were great. The guest information in the manual the owners left was very helpful - we went to eat at their favorite restaurant Home Plate and it was wonderful. Overall had a really great time and would definitely recommend this property.

"What a view" will be the first words out of your mouth

The views are breathtaking when you walk in. Pictures in the listing portray the property very well. You seriously cannot beat the views at this place. You have water views in 3 directions. Full time resident neighbors are so pleasant and the area it's located in is quiet and chill. My family truly enjoyed having water access at all times and we ate almost every single meal on the back porch. Also, be sure to get up early and check out the sunrise from the master bedroom. Pull those shades up and prepare to be in awe! We did have some issues with cleanliness of the property and property manager was available and did her best to rectify it. Because of the cleanliness issues, I gave it 4 stars but had that not happened, I would've given it 5 stars.

Great view and location. Needs deeper cleaning.

This place is such a great location and the view was unbeatable. Decor was also nice. Unfortunately, the previous cleaning left a lot to be desired. Shrimp in the dishwasher, hair in the shower, had not been dusted in a long time and many cobwebs. Would recommend deep power wash outside. We did it ourselves. Recognize spiders and bugs are normal but windows were dirty and had not been cleaned outside from what we would tell in some time. Communicated with owner. They were nice and offered to send a cleaner but we did not want our vacation Interrupted with a cleaner. Sent pics via email and drop box. They said they cannot view them. Was not looking for refund but if it were my VRBO, I would welcome the feedback and compensate. As one last resort i sent the pics via messenger to Dennise.

Lake house trip in Arkansas

This Town home had the best view on the lake surrounded by nature. Fishing and kayaking were our favorite also swimming at the desoto beach. The home itself was comfy and clean with realistic necessities for guest.

John is a native Texan with physics degrees from Georgia Tech and Carnegie Mellon (PhD). Kevin is a native of East Tennessee and got her degree from Oklahoma University in Design. You see her skills in the decor of What-A-View. Our property manager, Denisse Davidson is fantastic and will assist you during your stay.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this town home because of its magnificent views of the lake that it borders. We are fascinated by the various waterfowl that live near by, including our "pet" great blue heron whose fishing skills you will see in the video. We also enjoy seeing the pontoon and other boats going by. This is a very peaceful place and the sunrises out the upstairs bedroom windows are spectacular.

What makes this property unique

Once we get here we hate to leave because every day on the lake is different. The various activities in the Village are wonderful including golf, swimming, hiking, biking and boating. One of us has developed a fondness for pickleball, and there are numerous courts both inside and outside for this newly popular sport.
