The view from the porch was spectacular, the house had everything we needed. Our weekend could not have been better! Thank you for sharing your river house!
Perfect gathering stay for friends. The back patio overlooking the swift water river directly below was our favorite area to visit. We are 4 couples and it was perfect. Excellent host! Amy
The hosts were wonderful to work with. The River rushing sounds were quite soothing.A tree fell, which block the road. They informed us, jumped right into action. The tree service was great. We got to our Wedding with a story to tell.
This was my college friends over 50 years reunion. The Hosts have a lovely home with beautiful views. The inside of the home has comfort and is beautifully decorated. The hosts were gracious and very helpful. I am thinking about planning a family get-together and this would be a wonderful place to share with family. All of my friends had a great time visiting the area of North Georgia. Thanks to our hosts and hospitality.
Our overall impression was wow! Absolutely love this place. So clean, so pretty, and so worth it. If you are looking for that cozy feel, this is it. A couple things to consider...make sure you have a sturdy car that can go up a mountain path with only one lane, and bring sturdy shoes to explore. It's like stepping into a dream if your from the city. Thank you to our wonderful hosts. Easiest stress free check in and check out and no unwelcome surprises. We would absolutely stay here again.
This place was wonderful. The inside of the home and the screened deck was absolutely perfect for us. The outside is very woodsy, steep in some places, and stairs down to the river. Rapids from the river are beautiful to watch and gave us constant music. I wish we'd had a whole week to stay and enjoy the fire pit, the gazebo, & the little hidden natural overlook of the river. The town of Dahlonega is not far and has many restaurants and shops to explore. Wineries are everywhere
If you are looking for a retreat or destination where you will mostly stay at the house and enjoy the river, this place is great. It is quiet, comfortable, and very dark at night for good sleeping! It has one bedroom on the main floor, two upstairs, and one in the basement (no windows), and three and a half bathrooms. The house is clean and a nice place to be. However, as a jumping off point for exploring the area, going to a rehearsal dinner, wedding, and other events, the location is pretty remote and down a narrow, winding road that was difficult to navigate, especially at night. This makes a difference if you are coming and going as we were, and not accustomed to driving on mountain roads!
Had a great stay, Everything was as advertised, really enjoyed the sound of the water. So peaceful on the porch. Beds are comfortable, kitchen was accommodating cooking for 8 peiple. Loved it and plan to return.
This home was perfect for our girl’s weekend. It was very clean, decorated beautifully, and it had everything we needed. We grilled out one evening and had a charcuterie on the screened porch. It was a perfect place to eat and be able to listen to the river below us. We look forward to coming back again.
A very rainy weekend definitely changed our plans for hiking and playing in and around the river. A well stocked and very comfortable home made up for this and we were able to find plenty of things to do in and around Dahlonega. Hope to go back and experience it in the sun!
We really enjoyed our time in this beautiful home on the river. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous, and being able to relax on the screened patio while taking in the view of the river below was such a treat. It was the perfect setting for a peaceful getaway. We look forward to staying here again!
Beautiful riverfront property and the screened porch was definitely the favorite place to be! Beds super comfy and kitchen nicely stocked, definitely would recommend and would love to stay again!
Our family had an amazing week in this charming cabin! The porch on the river is truly paradise with the sound and clear view of the rapids. There were great views from all of the rooms and the bedrooms were large and well furnished. We had excellent response from our hosts every time we had a question. The trip to town was very easy once we learned to navigate the mountain roads. Magical!!
The river literally runs through the back yard. This is such a cool property. While the house looks a bit old form the outside, it is very nice on the inside. No bugs. No smell. Everythign was super clean. The linens were nice. The kitchen is nice. And the screened in deck wiht big table overlooking the river is the place to be.
The rushing river anon was the perfect setting for a fun filled weekend with friends! We enjoyed the entire house as well as the scenery and the fire pit
