House full of soul and charm for 7 people in Meluzien (formerly known as "Le Reposeur") with a beautiful view of the river at the end of the field, quiet and greenery, ideal for couples, family or friends .
Located in the Cousin Valley 2 km from the city center of Avallon 89200, 4km from the motorway toll A6.

Lovely little cottage!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage for a few days in picturesque Meluzine. The river would lull us to sleep at night, and it is close to many beautiful walking trails. The owner lives nearby and is very helpful. We loved the location and would stay here again.

Fantastic Holidays

The location and Gite were fantastic, right by a river which Bruno was fishing for Cray Fish! Bruno couldn’t do enough for us and the lovely Chocolate Ganache was excellent! Very quite, peaceful, beautiful walks through the woods and can’t wait to get back there next year!

Wonderfully peaceful escape

We hugely enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner Bruno was extremely kind and helpful and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, dealing with rubbish collections so that we didn't have to think about it. The gite is best suited to either a couple or a couple with 3 small children, but we managed perfectly well as a couple with children in their teens and twenties.(The working WIFI was much appreciated!) The setting is very pretty and very quiet yet the charming town of Avallon with all the facilities you could need, is only five minutes' drive over the hill. There are excellent walks and cycling routes straight out of the door of the property itself and a very useful cellar underneath the gite to keep bikes, boots,, sports, equipment etc safely secure when not in use. All in all, it is the perfect spot for anyone wanting a very peaceful setting to which to escape.

Petite séjour

Nous avons passé 3 excellentes journées avec ma compagne et nos enfants. Le lieu est très agréable, calme, reposant et pourtant beaucoup de chose y sont à faire. Bruno, le gérant est une personne adorable et très accueillante qui sait donner les bons conseils pour s'occuper ainsi que les bonnes adresses pour manger. Nous recommandons vivement et quand à nous nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ! Merci pour l'accueil.

Donker huisje in mooie omgeving

De foto's op de site waren niet actueel, tuin en inrichting waren duidelijk minder mooi en licht dan we verwacht hadden. Het huisje rook wat muf en was naar Nederlandse begrippen niet goed schoon. De rustige, mooie omgeving maakte veel goed.

Schöne Tage in Burgund

Die Unterkunft liegt (nur von der Zufahrtstraße/Sackgasse getrennt) direkt am Fluss „Cousin“, den man bei offnen Fenstern rauschen und gluckern hört, sehr schön! Tolle Möglichkeiten zum Radfahren und Spazierengehen. Avallon mit schöner Innenstadt, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und verschiedenen Restaurants ca. 5 min mit dem Auto. Einfache aber praktische Unterkunft.

Fantastische uitval plek mo de omgeving te ontdekken.

Voor 2 personen is het een royale woning, voor 7 personen is zeker de badkamer (douche en toilet) te klein en te weinig privacy. Verder heeft de woning alles wat je nodig hebt. Maar is zoals Bruno zelf zegt, het is geen 4 sterren hotel. Omgeving en het riviertje tegenover de woning is fantastisch. Omgeving zeer geschikt voor wandelaars en mountainbikers. Wij hebben in ieder geval 3 weken genoten.

Très bon séjour

Le cadre environnant est très joli et le gîte bien aménagé. Jardin très agréable. Nous étions deux couples avec trois enfants et un chien. Juste une petite mise en garde sur les escaliers intérieurs très raides. Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte pour un week-end ou plus dans l'avallonnais et ses environ.

Désenchantement

Je m attendais à un gite un peu plus spacieux et un peu plus confortable. La salle de bain est exigue et les toilettes ne sont pas séparées, d où gênant à 2 couples. Problème également avec évacuations, durant 4 jours odeur très nauséabonde durant les repas pris à l extérieur, et proximité avec des chiens qui passent beaucoup de temps à aboyer. Dommage !

Schöne Umgebung - freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter

Sehr schöne Umgebung, mit einem Bach, der unserem Hund sehr gefallen hat. :-) Monsieur Gonzales hat uns eine Autowerkstatt vermittelt: Ohne seine Hilfe wäre die schnelle Reparatur unserer Auto-Klimaanlage wohl nicht möglich gewesen!

Propriétaire intrusif

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil du propriétaire et ses explications. Mais, il venait constamment nous voir pour nous demander ce que nous avions fait de la journée ou autre. De plus, comme il habite la maison voisine et que nous sommes obligés de passer devant chez lui (cul de sac) , pas moyen de l'éviter. Exemple : je suis dans le jardin à 6H du matin en pyjama pour que mon chien se soulage ( le reste de la famille dort encore), il ouvre le portail pour venir discuter. Du coup, malgré le beau temps, nous n'avons pas profité du jardin ! Autres précisions : il ne reste que le support du détecteur de fumée et le fait que l'escalier soit pentu (avec des marches étroites) mériterait d'être précisé dans l'annonce ( dangereux pour les enfants).

Toller Urlaub in einem sehr gemütlichen alten Steinhaus. Herrliche Natur und unzählige kulturelle Ziele in der Nähe. Bruno ist ein unglaublich netter Gastgeber mit dem wir zwei lustige und interessante Abende bei einer Flasche Burgunder verbracht haben. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Tranquilité

Nous avons passés un très bon séjour en famille dans le logement de Bruno. Le calme, la nature, et d'être loin de tout ont fait la joie de tous. Bruno est particulièrement accueillant, il nous a fait profiter de sa passion pour la pêche et nous a dévoilé ses "coins" a champignons. Le logement est agréable même si la cuisine n'est pas du dernier cri. Le logement n'est pas bien adapté pour les jeunes enfants (escalier raide et présence d'un bassin dans le jardin).

Un petit coin de paradis

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end au gite de la Méluzine, entre forêt et rivière. Très confortable et très bien équipé. La région est magnifique, tellement de choses à faire et à voir! Bruno le propriétaire est adorable, gentil, drôle et fait tout pour qu'on se sente bien. On repart en espérant se revoir bientôt, comme quelqu'un de la famille! Merci pour tout!

Belle découverte de cette région entre rivières et forêts

La location était moins confortable que ce donne à penser les photos. Le mobilier est un peu vieillot et il aurait fallu des petits sièges ou poufs au salon. La rivière est de l'autre côté de la petite route...Nous y avons mis beaucoup de bonne humeur et avons passé un excellent séjour.
