One of only a few direct Oceanfront beach cottages left in Carolina Beach that is great for families. Sit on the front porch and watch waves or a beautiful sunrise. Direct beach views and access. This home was built in 1969 and owned by the same family for 50 years. This cottage offers an excellent beach retreat that is reminiscent of simpler times. Excellent surf break in front of home which is only 100 yards from the Tiki bar. You will enjoy "Mike's Beach", the private beach area at the base of the porch steps on the oceanfront. Want to get away from the beach crowds? You have your own private area to retreat to where you can sun, listen to music, make your own drinks or cookout on the Weber grill.
This is a very unique spot in Carolina beach with ocean views to die for! Sunrises that will amaze you and a location that is convenient to everything! You will enjoy the quaintness of this home and the unbeatable location!

Perfect Get Away

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect for coffee on the deck watching the sunrise. You are midway between Granny's and the Tiki Bar (for those time you don't feel like cooking). But the kitchen is great for cooking meals; lots of things you don't find in other rentals and a blender for those frozen drinks (again on the great deck). The beds were two different firmness, which was nice. And there are a zillion movies for those rainy days. We were also able to walk to the Boardwalk quite a few times (saving on parking $). Washer and dryer were a plus to be able to do it right in the house. The bathrooms were unique, shower especially, but I found the flooring and sink area to be lovely. Looking forward to returning!

We felt so fortunate to find this little gem sitting right on the sand. We loved watching the light change over the ocean from the windows and incredible deck. Could hear the sounds of the surf, what a great lullaby. It is such a walkable beach, we couldn't get enough. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. The description given is very accurate. It is close to everything. The host was great at communicating. We had a perfect get-a-way.

Why they chose this property

Surf4life Beach Cottage is one of the only oceanfront homes on a private street with no public parking. This house has unobstructed ocean and beach views with sunrises to die for! You can sit on the porch and watch the surfers and beach goers. The Tiki Bar is very close and your can see the crowds and hear the live music in the summer time!
