Direct Oceanfront 3 bedroom rustic beach cottage. Great beach memories!

One of only a few direct Oceanfront beach cottages left in Carolina Beach that is great for families. Sit on the front porch and watch waves or get up and have a cup of coffee on the porch to a beautiful sunrise. Direct beach views and access. This home was built in 1966 and owned by the same family for 55 years. This cottage offers an incredible beach retreat that is reminiscent of simpler times. Excellent surf break in front of home which is only 100 yards from the Tiki bar. You will enjoy "Mike's Beach", the private beach area at the base of the porch steps on the oceanfront. Want to get away from the beach crowds? You have your own private area to retreat to where you can sun, listen to music, make your own drinks or cookout on the Weber grill.
This is a very unique spot in Carolina beach with ocean views to die for! Sunrises that will amaze you and a location that is convenient to everything! You will enjoy the quaintness of this home and the unbeatable location! Bring your beach bikes and never have to worry about parking! House is a short 20 minute walk up the beach to downtown or a 5 minute bike ride!

The best place to stay if you want to be right on the water in Carolina Beach! Public beach access is right next to the house. The place is clean, the kitchen is well stocked if you want to prepare meals instead of going out to dinner all the time and there is a washer and dryer in the home. Note that if you have little kids, the bathroom only has a stand up shower, there is no bath tub. Our family of three was perfectly comfortable here and I loved reading outside on the back porch while listening to the waves crash on the ocean. The host is friendly and very quick to respond. Don’t forget to bring your own towels and beach chairs/umbrella.

The beach house was in a great location and was cozy and comfortable. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to have our dog with us for her first beach trip. Our family beach visit was so relaxing and easy going. Check-in was easy and exact to the instructions provided. The host was very responsive whenever I asked questions. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook, including cooking spray and spices. There is a washer & dryer with detergent provided, blankets, cleaning supplies. The only thing not provided which was mentioned clearly in the listing is no beach or bath towels. You must bring your own towels. We could see the beach from the back deck and the boardwalk out to the beach is right next to the house. There are gates to block off the front and back porches which was nice since my 2 yr old niece has no fear . Location was great too. In walking distance of some restaurants and ice cream which was a family favorite. Only 2 miles from more restaurants and mini fair that has a couple small rides and a Ferris wheel. Highly recommend this property!

We absolutely loved this house! It’s clear that the owner takes great care of this property. The furnishings were very nice and cozy. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. The outdoor areas are so lovely and well maintained. The outdoor seating is really nice and kept up and the hammocks were a big hit with our teens! We also liked having beach chairs provided. We somehow missed in the listing that towels are not provided so we picked some up from the Dollar General. There’s plenty of local rental companies that you can rent towels from too. Thanks to the owner, Michael, for sharing his home. Our family can’t wait to return to this little gem!

I have grown up surfing and loving the beach. After many years of dreaming about a beach house at a great surf spot, I found this property that became available, after 50 years with the same family. I welcome everyone to my dream beach house!

Why they chose this property

Surf4life Beach Cottage is one of the only oceanfront homes on a private street with no public parking. This house has unobstructed ocean and beach views with sunrises to die for! You can sit on the porch and watch the surfers and beach goers. The Tiki Bar is very close and your can see the crowds and hear the live music in the summer time!
