Welcome to Casalona, one of the few remaining vintage, single-level family homes directly on the oceanfront at Carolina Beach. Sleep four couples in private corners of the house, each side sharing a Jack n Jill bathroom. With its no-frills design, this cozy home offers a unique and comfortable beachside experience. Come take in the fresh ocean air and sounds of the waves while you relax on the large, furnished porch. Run up and down your own private walkway to the beach several times a day easily: you are so close! Enjoy the simple pleasures of a small seaside town in this charming beach cottage with restaurants and shops all within walking distance. This old-fashioned beach home is sure to make your vacation a memorable one; so be one of the families who comes back year after year to experience beach-focused living and falling asleep to the sound of the waves at Casalona.
Ground Level:
Parking for 3 vehicles in private driveway under the house. One level of stairs up to the living level or beach boardwalk. Washer and Dryer closet.

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds.
Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.
Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.
Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Pet Policy:
Pets Allowed 2 to 3 dogs -OR- two cats. Restrictions: 2 dogs of any kind OR 3 dogs under 15 lbs. allowed. The first dog is included in the price of the Rental. Subsequent dogs are subject to an additional payment and restrictions! Carolina and Kure Beaches are pet-friendly, but you must follow town guidelines. Please check the town website for beach pet restrictions.
Cancellation Policy:
We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.
Things to do:
Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!
Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, an arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Annual off-season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

The Neighborhood:
Sea Coast Input - Carolina Beach boardwalk offers shopping, locally owned restaurants , ice cream & fudge shops and let’s not forget the vibrant nightlife. During the summer months the local gazebo has live music and bingo. Fishing charter boats, nightly party cruises, pontoon boats are also available. Or explore the Carolina Beach State Park. Neighboring Kure beach offers a charming downtown with locally owned restaurants ,Oceanfront park and a 712-foot long fishing pier. Fort Fisher is located at the southern end of the island where you can visit the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum and the North Carolina Aquarium. There are approximately 10 golf courses within a 1 hour drive and for those “historic” buffs, take a day trip to Downtown Wilmington or one of the other local islands via ferry.
Getting Around:
Sea Coast Input : Parking may be limited during the summer months (public parking is available through Pleasure Island at an hourly rate).
Carolina / Kure Beach is easily navigable once you're here. Our beach towns are very accessible and family friendly for vehicles, bikes and golf carts. Renting bikes and golf carts is a breeze with the many rental companies on the island. Advance reservations are recommended beach accessories. Escape the hustle and bustle of the beaches of Carolina/Kure Beach and explore the Carolina Beach state park and its’ many hiking trails. Or the Carolina Beach Greenway walking trail.
For a day trip travel from Ft. Fisher to Southport aboard the Southport Car Ferry and their many antique stores.
