NEW air conditioning added to living room!

Perfectly sized for two, but can sleep four with approval. Nestled slightly up the hillside with views looking into Coral Bay harbor, Jewel's View provides all you need for a comfortable and relaxing Caribbean stay. The large covered porch is the ideal casual lounge space to relax with morning coffee or to kick off those flip flops after a long day of snorkeling. This area is also perfect for alfresco dining. The gentle ocean breezes are almost constant through the Eden valley and hillside, keeping the cottage naturally cool. However AC is available in the bedroom AND living room for maximum comfort should you need it. The cottage is the last house off the beaten path, yet only a 3 minute drive or short WALK to Skinny Legs, Dazey's Bayhouse, and other restaurants and shops in Coral Bay ~ a rare find!

Reminiscent of Concordia's beloved Studios, but with upgrades. Jewel's View has one queen bedroom, one bathroom with open-air shower, full kitchen, and a sitting area with queen sleeper sofa, perfect for adding 1-2 children. Please inquire for approval and accurate pricing for adding 1-2 children using the sleeper sofa. The cottage was completed spring 2019, outfitted with new appliances and furniture, WIFI, TV, large outdoor deck and grill.

Power is provided to St. John via an underground cable from St. Thomas. Our power supply is not always reliable and power outages are not uncommon. They are typically short lived, but can last for a few hours. These outages can happen with or without warning from the island’s power company, known as WAPA. We will do our best to keep you comfortable and informed. Antares strives to make your villa stay as comfortable and trouble free as possible. Please understand that power outages are out of our control. Please note, water will not work during an outage. There are no refunds for power loss.

Perfect spot for couples in St John

The quiet side is the right side! Amazing spot. Walk to skinny legs and Lime Out taxi. Definitely want a rental car to reach the beaches. Avoid the crowded beaches and go to Francis Bay and Salt Pond. Amazing snorlink at both.

Quiet relaxing stay

Loved our stay at Coral Bay! That balcony is worth the trip alone. One issue was with the drive way- it rained the day we arrived so we couldn’t pull up to the house. The walk up was easy enough however 😊 One recommendation for the bedroom - some blinds would be awesome! Would be delighted to stay here again.

Quiet Perfection - Gorgeous Landscaping

The location is perfect to get anywhere we wanted to go. It's a haul from Cruz Bay, but we like that!! The landscaping and choices of plantings are gorgeous. We had birds surrounding us at every meal on the deck while we looked out at the blue waters of Coral Bay and the mountains of St. John. Walk to restaurants or a less than 5 minute drive. AC in bedroom at night made for a perfect nights sleep to be rested for a long day of running, hiking and snorkeling. We have stayed in many rental homes in Coral Bay, USVI and we definitely want to come back to this one!

Great cottage but driveway needs work

Loved the house and the view is great. Only issue was a very steep driveway that has loose gravel. Hard to get up past the first level of the driveway. Would be nice to have steps from the lower level of the driveway going up to the house

Coral Bay Harbor at Our Feet

Lovely new build part way up the hillside overlooking Coral Bay harbor. Don't let that incredibly bumpy ride up the drive put you out, it's going to be graded soon, they hope. Make sure you have a 4WD vehicle or you'll be hiking up the last little gravel switchback driveway. Wonderfully welcoming concierge and gifts await you, and all the amenities needed for a beach vacation are provided. We were very happy having breakfast on the porch every morning with the lovely view. Very close to Skinny Legs and Indigo for lunch or dinner.

Amazing gem in Coral Bay

We absolutely loved EVERYTHING about Jewel's View! It is a perfect couples retreat with all the amenities you need. The view is so beautiful and the deck is a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The kitchen has every appliance, utensil and dish you would ever need during your stay. Everything is updated and new in the kitchen and works wonderfully. The bed is very comfortable with lots of natural light as well. Of course the outdoor shower is a must on St. John! There were plenty of towels, beach chairs, coolers, etc. which certainly makes day trips easy and relaxing. We always stay in Coral Bay or East End for tranquility and access to less busy snorkel spots. We snorkeled every day and the location of the home is excellent for travel to and from the beaches. Salty Mongoose and Skinny Legs are our two favorite restaurants in Coral Bay. No frills, fun atmosphere and of course good comfort food completes a great day in the water. Greengos is our favorite restaurant in Cruz Bay and worth the drive. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us and we can't wait to return!

Wonderful home Dangerous driveway

The house was beautiful and perfect. But the driveway was on a very steep incline with two very sharp turns, on loose gravel and a large deep hole at one of the turns. Our 4 wheel drive jeep would spin out in the gravely hole. If someone slid backwards too far, they could fall off a steep cliff. The two steep tight turns need to be paved for safety. Would love to stay there again once that is done. A backup generator would be nice too. During the two power outages we therefore had no water. So at a minimum an emergency source of water would be valuable. The management company did quickly bring us jugs of water to drink and wash off some of the sunscreen and sand we returned home with. Great, responsive management. Owner just needs to invest a bit more for safety ‘s sake and a backup source for water.

Little Corner of Paradise

This was not my first time on St. John, but it was my first time staying on my own. I picked this particular property with the help of a friend who is local. The pictures are an exact representation of how the property is. I did not have a car and wanted something within walking distance of restaurants, but comfortable. This was it! The property is well maintained and has everything that you need for your stay including a washer-drier. I managed to walk to several of the local eateries and the local grocery store with no problem. To the farthest point of dining in the area, it was only a 15 min walk at night (there are small flashlights provided for guests that came in handy for these excursions and the power outages!). The property manager was very communicative, even checking on me during the power outages and making sure that I had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again.

An absolute jewel of a stay in St. John

My new husband and I have not stopped raving about this property since we left St. John. It boasts a stunning view, an impeccably clean & beautifully-designed interior, and is run by the most hospitable and helpful staff I have ever encountered. This property was definitely the highlight of our honeymoon in St. John. If this villa is available for your dates, snatch it. You won't regret it!

scary driveway

Wonderful property although a bit small for three adults. Well equipped kitchen, lovely outdoor shower. We used the deck a lot and appreciated the comfortable seating and space. The house is perched just high enough to have great views of Coral Bay harbor. However, the driveway winds steeply up two switchbacks which are common throughout St John but this driveway is covered with stones, making it impossible for our Jeep to get past the first switchback. Stones are loose and recently placed so it may improve over time. I would recommend the house with this one caution.

Thank you so much for this feedback and sorry the gravel was uncomfortable and scary. You are correct, the gravel and landscaping is new, so is loose. We are taking this into account and will be working to provide a more compact switchback or concrete section to remedy this issue. We want our guests to be as comfortable as possible and not have to worry. We are thrilled you enjoyed the amenities otherwise. We also agree about accommodating three adults -- much better suited to for couples, or couple with small child. We will add this to the description. Thank you again!

Great for couples or small families!

Jewel's View was everything we hoped for! The villa is exactly as the photos show. Very clean, nicely decorated with local art, comfortable furniture inside and out, all dishes and appliances you may need. The villa is relatively new, so the side yard is just growing in...but we still saw plenty of lizards, a few deer, and the island donkeys made a visit! Great view of Coral Bay in a nice quiet neighborhood, and within walking distance of Skinny Legs and Rhumb Lines. We will definitely be back!

We LOVE Jewel's View!

From the minute that I booked our stay at Jewel's View, the team was super responsive with communication! The property itself is absolutely perfect and in the best location (super close to the restaurants and the main roads). The road in to the house is a bit rough, but we had a 4WD Jeep which helped in scaling the last part of the driveway :). This rental is outfitted with literally anything you can think you might need, right down to a hairdryer in the bathroom and beach bags and coolers in the laundry room! The view is absolutely spectacular and I loved that I could see Coral Harbor when I laid in bed! I truly cannot give this place enough stars and CANNOT wait to stay here again!!

Perfect in Paradise

This property was absolutely perfect! The location in Coral Bay is ideal- it offers all of the necessities and is central to all parts of the island. It is also a world away from any hint of traffic or crowds. Coral Bay is "our spot" now, and this property will be our first choice in the future. It is newly constructed, well built and very tastefully decorated. Details like local books, interesting knickknacks, a monopoly board and even a little bluetooth speaker goes to show that the hosts are truly considerate to their guests and we felt comfortable and genuinely welcome from the start. Even the booking process and arrival arrangements were well planned and simple. For those considering to book here- the description and photos on the listing are spot on. It is exactly as they present it. The unit was very clean, everything works, everything is new and of good quality (like linens, kitchen supplies, towels, etc). The air conditioner cools the entire house on a hot day. The wifi works well if you need it. The view is lovely, with water in two directions, ruins on a nearby hill and the town of Coral Bay laid out in front of you. For those who have already booked- The markets in Coral Bay are clean and good quality. There is really no need to stock up on food before arriving. There is however no gas station in Coral Bay, so be sure to fill up on the way out. We arrived with just under half a tank and figured that would be plenty considering the short distances involved. This was a bad assumption as the hills really eat up the fuel. We ended up having to go back over to Cruz Bay two days later to fill up, which is a bit of a hike if you're not otherwise planning the trip. We travel a lot and are always skeptical- if this cottage looks good for you, it will be. Enjoy!
