About this property
Peaceful Getaway WPines Retreat Nestled in Nature
Summary:
Whispering Pines, 3BR, 2.5BA, 2 story close to Port Angeles, lovely yard with deck, grill, firepit, 1 block to Olympic Discovery Trail
The Space:
Northwest living at its best, the tall evergreens greet you through large picture windows as you enter this peaceful retreat. Natural light abounds and illuminates the modern furnishings of the main floor living area. Delight in watching a movie on the large sectional as a family or reading in front of the propane fireplace. Roku TV with DVD & free WIFI!
The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals which can be enjoyed inside in the dining area or outside on the large deck overlooking the beautiful grounds. The propane grill is located on the deck. The main floor hosts the master bedroom with king bed and en suite master bath with walk in shower, a sitting area with two saucer style chairs, laundry room and a conveniently located half bath. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a full size futon. The upstairs hall bath features a tub/shower combo. Plenty of room for the whole family to appreciate and views of the evergreens from every window.
Whispering Pines is located just a block away from the Olympic Discovery Trail. Bring your own or rent bikes locally to enjoy picturesque rides into Port Angeles or to Sequim. Bikes and kayaks can be stored out of sight, or put in the attached garage. Close to Highway 101 access, many hiking and beachcombing adventures are within a half hour to hour drive from the home. The first entrance to Olympic National Park at Hurricane Ridge offers panoramic mountain views and meandering trails. Popular trails around Lake Crescent lead to renovated railroad tunnels and lovely waterfalls. Rent kayaks or canoes in front of the historic Lake Crescent Lodge or enjoy a quiet meal overlooking the water. Two to three hours west from the home, more day adventures await at the Hoh Rainforest, Pacific coastal beaches and Cape Flattery.
Enjoy a whale watching tour launching out of Port Angeles, feed the buffalo at the Olympic Game Farm or take photos of bald eagles soaring over the Dungeness Spit.
Have fun in the evenings exploring Northwest cuisine and seafood specialties in one of the many award winning restaurants in Sequim or Port Angeles. During the summer and fall months, many festivals occur here on the Peninsula including the Sequim Lavender Festival and Port Angeles Arts and Draughts Beer and Wine Festival as well as the famous Dungeness Crab Festival, all displaying our pride for this amazing area we hope to share with you!
