About this property

Epic mountain views - Custom home- great relaxing/entertainment patio/pool/yard

This beautifully three BR two BA custom home is located in La Quinta Cove. Near many PGA tour quality golf courses and just a few miles from The Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Also very near the Polo grounds where The Stage Coach and Cochella Music Festivals are held. There is also local hiking trails near by that venture up to and through the Santa Rosa Mountains. The 1875 sf home is comfortable and well appointed. There is a nice modern kitchen inside with two dinning areas.
There are stunning close mountain and valley views from almost every area of this property. The large cement Patio provides a great place to relax, congregate or have a BBQ. The patio is equipped with comfortable chairs and umbrella table and propane fire pit table.
There is a nice 30' X 15' rectangle swimming pool that goes from 4 to 8 feet deep. The swimming pool is SOLAR heated from a large solar unit on the roof. The water is very warm when the sun has been shinning for at least a week. There are floating rafts to float around in the pool. The spa is NOT heated.
The yard is nicely landscaped and is enclosed by a nice 5 foot wall in the front of the property and a new six foot synthetic fence to provide privacy from the neighbors.
The modern Kitchen is fully equipped with all sizes of pots and pans, well stocked with utensils and dishes. Set up for cooking in if you like! There are two dinning rooms.
We are looking for mature and responsible short term renters. ***No pets or small children are allowed.***
All primary renters will be required to fill out and return our 5 page rental agreement and swimming pool waiver within five days of the reservation request. A copy of the primary renters Drivers Licence or passport will also be required at that time. Failure to complete these items will result in a cancellation of reservation. La Quinta business licence number 066022.

Christmas in La Quinta

Overall the house and property were great for the gathering of my family (husband, two adult sons, one girlfriend) for Christmas week. Thanks to Dave and Nora for opening up their home. The house was well equipped - kitchen with everything you need, comfy couch to watch movies, extra table in the kitchen to spread out a puzzle. Nice view of the pool from the living room. Was too cold for us to go in, Dave gave us plenty of heads up that the water is solar heated and may be cool this time of year. We enjoyed walks in the La Quinta Cove and playing tennis and pickleball on the local courts. One thing that was a little annoying was behind the house there was a house in construction and work started at 7 am. No fault of Dave and Nora, yet may be good to ask ahead of time.

Dave & Nora were the perfect hosts.

This is our second experience in this simple but beautiful home in La Quinta. The location is far enough off the grid but within reach of lots of sites. The pool is a great place to relax. The hiking especially to Lake Cove was easily accessible as were numerous restaurants. Dave & Nora greeted us on arrival and we’re easily accessible for any questions or concerns. This is definitely a hidden gem.

My family and I came to the amazing property in the cove for spring break. The house has everything beautiful backyard for swimming and BBQ's. The solar pool temp was perfect, and communication with the host was seamless.

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend stay! The owners were friendly, hospitable and communicative. The home is beautiful and very comfortable, with all of the essentials - pool, fire pit, fully stocked kitchen + cookware, and plenty of space. Quick drive to downtown area with restaurants/bars, as well as 10-15 min drive to Coachella festival. Would love to stay here again!

We are both born and raised in California. We enjoy all aspects of the state. One of its best features is the Coachella Valley. It has the sunshine and the warmth that the coast and mountains lack in the fall, winter and spring months. Temperatures usually range in the 70's in this time frame.

Why they chose this property

La Quinta Cove is nestled in the Santa Rosa Mountains. It is slightly elevated above the valley floor has a 300* view of the surround mountains that opens up to a view of the Valley. Yet only a mile from old town La Quinta's restaurants, shops, tennis/pickleball courts and park. there are also dozens of golf courses near by, including PGA West.
The Cove is also shielded from occasional bad weather conditions on the valley floor. There are near by hiking trails at the end of our street that wind into the mountains with stunning views of the valley below.

What makes this property unique

Although this double lot 10,000 sq ft property is in the desert, The entertainment patio has a beautiful and lush yard with a huge green lawn, with over 20 fruit and palm trees. There is a very large by desert standards 30'X15" pool just of the patio. The yard is surrounded by a privacy wall and fence that do not block the surrounding mountain and valley views.
The Patio is great for outdoor living with an umbrella table, BBQ, large teak double lounger, and propane fire pit table.
The 2450 sq ft house has a great floor plan and has a well equipped kitchen for cooking. There are two very comfortable dinning tables, kitchen island and appliances. The adjoining great room has a large a large Samsung LCD smart TV with a Roku stick. Also included are over 100 top DVD's. There is a small stereo.
