Quiet home outside hustle and bustle

My family and I were visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and wanted a place away from the busy crowds of Estes Park to unwind. This home was situated on a hillside, beautifully decorated 2 bedroom with futon downstairs, large lot for your pups to run. Just be mindful there may be elk passing through or even a turkey like we saw. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Perfect for peeps with pups.

Place was perfect for what we needed. Clean, fenced-in nice place. However, I dealt with several items broken or worn-out: picnic bench, bathroom 110V outlet, vertical blinds in the bedroom next to the kitchen, that perhaps were not made aware to management/owners over time.Thanks.Jonathan

We had a great time. The house is only minutes from anything we needed/wanted to do. The big fenced yard was wonderful. We've taken our dogs on vacation before, but never had a fenced yard. It was so nice to let them into the yard without being leashed. The house was well stocked. I really appreciated the large bottles of hand soap at each sink and the amount of towels and washcloths there were. The only wildlife we saw at the house was a wild turkey sitting on the fence one afternoon. We did see droppings in the yard from either deer or elk and we think a bear tried to get into the garbage one night. In the morning, the garbage can was knocked over, turned around, and moved a few feet from where it started. Overall, we had a great trip!

Pet-friendly and coxy

Nice older property very accommodating to our pets and cozy/comfortable. Not “high end” by any stretch but very comfortable and right in the heart of Estes Park.

Great location!

We love coming to Estes Park but have never visited in the fall. This home is in a quiet neighborhood and had everything we needed for a long weekend. We especially enjoyed the daily wildlife visitors - elk, mule dear and wild turkeys! We would definitely recommend this home and hope to stay here again.

The property was a gem. Lots of room for large family or group. Kitchen area is very large with lots of counter space. Garage is not available to renter even Vrbo listing in Vrbo app says, "Onsite parking options include a garage". Driveway has a significant slope. Neither was an impact for us as we were visiting in September. The rental is managed by the Vacasa and this is where our issues occurred:We're used to getting all rental information via Vrbo or email. Vacasa they encourage using their App. We did. However, we continued to receive multiple emails plus text messages. Additionally, checkout instructions were not listed in their App. This information came via email. We were unable to gain access to the rental property. Multiple attempts later finally got inside. (and yes, we were entering the correct code). Contacted Vacasa and Support team changed the code and had us try again. (husband stayed inside home just in case) Door would not unlock, did not matter how fast or slow the code was entered. Support team said someone would be out shortly. One hour later and no one had arrived. Called support again - was given a new code, which worked the first time. However, by this time we could not trust that the lock would actually work without issue. They scheduled a person to come out the next day to investigate. By this time our evening plans for our 25th Wedding anniversary were ruined. Support did come out the next day and determined it was a battery issue.

Beautiful house

The house was on a quiet street, the house it’s self was absolutely beautiful. It was clean and cozy and had everything we could have asked for. The huge back yard was a hit with our kids and our husky. The grill was awesome so we cooked outside a lot. The house had 2 large kennels for our dog. Plus it had games we played at night. It was one of our favorite stays. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Perfect for our family and dog

We loved staying in this beautiful home! We liked the fact that it was clean, well decorated, had a large, well-furnished kitchen, a grill on the deck, and so much more. We and our two adults sons all had a comfortable place to sleep with the two queen-sized beds and the sofa bed. The customer service was excellent and very courteous. Whenever we had a question, it was answered immediately. We also liked the large, fenced-in yard for our dog. The close proximity to Estes Park (less than a mile to the south) and Rocky Mountain National Park made this the perfect place for our family vacation. We definitely plan to stay again!

Clean, Quiet but needs inprovements

This was a beautiful location and the home was clean. It was a nice home to stay in but it needs major upgrades. The stove was very old. Every time we cooked anything the kitchen would get smokey and the fire alarms would go off. The chairs at the dinning room table felt like you were going to fall through them. They need to be repadded. The couch was not comfortable to sit on. I spent most of my time sitting on the deck. Those chairs were the most comfortable to sit in compared to what was in the home. The yard needed to be upkept better. When we got there, my husband cut back the shrubs around the deck. They were hanging over onto the deck and you could not get down the stairs to the yard. When we got to the house, the code we had been furnished to unlock the door did not work. We called and were given another code that did not work. They had to give us the code to get to the keys so we could get in. They did come and fix the problem the next morning. It was later in the evening when we arrived and we did not want to deal with it after the long drive. We also had to request propane for the grill as the bottle on the grill and the back up were both empty. However, they did bring us bottles ASAP.

Really Nice House

The house was super clean and equipped with everything we would need on vacation including spices, soaps, a first aid kit, multiple fans, blow dryer, flat iron, tons of towels. The extra touches were really appreciated. There are books, games, and plenty to watch on tv. It is also super dog friendly. Even sheets are provided to cover the furniture for dogs, and some dog bowls too. We really enjoyed the house and would recommend it. One bed is firmer than the other. Its a matter of preference. The location was fabulous. Close to Stanley Hotel, Safeway, and Downtown Estes. The deck is smaller than we thought it would be, but still nice. There is no view of the mountains, just trees, but it is pretty. Also, Estes goes dark at night. Not a single light goes on, which makes for great star gazing. There is a light in the back of the house at ground level, but there is no access to the switch that turns on that light. It is in a room locked with a key. The lights in front of the house are motion detection lights, so if you're in the front and stop moving, they will turn off. The fenced back yard is huge but overgrown with weeds, which seems to be normal there, but we didn't feel comfortable letting our small dog explore it all. He did enjoy multiple walks. Also, there are a few neighbors that will divert you from their "private property" if your dog goes in their yard. However, elk are allowed everywhere. We saw a ton of elk and some wild turkey. It was an overall lovely stay.

Location was excellent! Plenty of room, and felt safe. Disappointed to learn two days prior to our trip that we would not be able to use the garage. Felt like that was misleading on the listing. House needs a deep clean...all the air vents were full of dust and the windows and screens were all needing washed. No cable was also a disappointment. Not even an antennae to receive local networks. Yard was huge! We enjoyed that. We were not aware that there was construction being done on the adjacent property. Feel like that should have been stated in the listing...or possibly a small discount offered because of it.

This is our second stay. Great location and quite a bit of wildlife (bears, elk, wild turkeys almost daily). We loved the ability to bring our dog and the daily walks to town. For our next visit, would love to see just a bit of love put into the house (mugs, silverware were all mismatches and very random, many broken utensils (wine opener and can openers), a few drawers with old containers and other items that should be cleared out. Thanks for allowing us to make this our home for the summer!
