The house can accommodate a maximum of 4 people with two bedrooms, but does not accept pets. The price shown is for the rental of a single room in the house for 2 people. If there are only two of you and you prefer to be the only residents of the house, you will be charged an additional €30 per night. The second room will be closed, not rented. If you are 4 people, you will have to add an extra 60€ per night to have the whole house.

The house is built with natural materials: 5000 bottles, straw, lime, lavender stems, SiChuan pepper and Cévennes wood... There are over 480 bottles filled with greetings in 12 languages, so it's a house with a soul. It's a space of light and consciousness. If what you're looking for is tranquility, harmony with nature, peace and serenity, this is a perfect place.


The house has a garden and a 30 m2 south-facing terrace with a dominant view of the mountains, and its original thermal insulation system enables it to be classified in category A on the performance analysis. The house has reversible air conditioning and a wood-burning stove. Mosquito screens are installed on the windows. The house comprises a 70 m2 living room and a large 25m2 bedroom with a bathroom and WC, a second large 28M2 bedroom with a shower and WC. Each bedroom has a large, comfortable double bed (160cm), with large bay windows offering a commanding view of the mountains.

The owner and designer of the house is a Landscape-Architect and painter, who is interested in meeting people.

Excellent house in a beautiful environment

The house is very comfortable and fully furnished.The owner is a very nice guy. In the area there are various tourist excursions possible. Especially the various caves are recommended. In the area there are also a number of good restaurants.

Excellent Property

The property was extremely well appointed and comfortable with excellent views. Alexandre is a charming host, he directed us to several good local sites and was very helpful but without being intrusive. Don’t miss Cirque de Navacelles or the information centre at the summit of Mont Aigoul. Also good to visit: Anduze, Saint Jean de Fos, Meyreuis, and the gorges of Vis, Herault and Dourbies.

A marvellous hideaway

We had the most wonderful time at Chambre Espigarie. It is a beautiful, spacious and perfectly furnished house in the middle of Cevenole nature with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. You can literally spend hours just sitting on the back or front porch and taking in the fantastic views and sounds of nature. Alexandre is a very amiable and attentive host who will go out of his way to make sure you enjoy your time at his house. He welcomed us with a wonderful tea ceremony, and whenever we had a question he immediately gave us all information we needed. The closest town is quaint Le Vigan with a market every Tuesday and Saturday, lots of shops and restaurants as well as a beautiful park. For us, the greatest spot was Brasserie Felonie with different craft beers on tap, a yummy tapas plate with regional delicacies, darts and a super relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy!!

Schlafzimmer an Fremde vermietet gewesen, hätten wir uns nicht wohlgefühlt. Es wäre gut, wenn man schon bei der Buchung direkt eine Möglichkeit hätte, anzugeben, dass man das ganze Haus mieten möchte und nicht erst, wenn man mit dem Vermieter schreibt.

Ein küstlerischer Ort zum Genießen und Entspannen

Von der ersten Minute an hatten wir eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser Ferienwohnung. Alexandre hat sich bei der Begrünßung viel Zeit genommen. Ein einmaliges Erlebnis war für uns die Einladung zu seiner Teezeremonie. In der Ferienwohnung ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Wir haben uns unbeschwert und wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Lage in den Bergen ist wunderschön und herrlich ruhig. Wir konnten in der Umgebung viel erleben und beim Zurückkehren gut entspannen. Der Kontakt mit Alexandre war toll. Wir haben sehr gute Tipps bekommen. Auf eine Besonderheit möchten wir aber noch hinweisen. Das Haus ist mit einem besonderen Filtersystem für das Abwasser ausgestattet. Daher wird darum gebeten nichts in die Toilette zu werfen. Auch kein Toilettenpapier. Das war für uns gewöhnungsbedürftig aber kein Problem.

Calme et sérénité

J’ai cherché mais je n’ai pas trouvé de point négatif à propos de la maison d’Alexandre. A l’ecart du Vigan sur les hauteurs lieu ideal pour se reposer avec tout le confort d’une maison moderne et fonctionnelle. Un seul regret ne pas avoir fait connaissance avec notre hôte qui était a l’étranger mais peut être une prochaine fois.

Nous venons de passer 5 jours dans cette maison et je la recommande fortement. Le cadre est somptueux et l'aménagement intérieur parfait pour accueillir 5 personnes. Nous avons pu profiter de deux grandes chambres et de leur salle de bains. La cuisine est bien équipée et les coins repas et séjour sont accueillants. Et que dire de la terrasse et de sa magnifique vue sur les monts cévennes. Les échanges avec le propriétaires sont agréables et ,pis avons beaucoup appréciés ses recommandations sur les visites à faire. Nous espérons pouvoir y revenir rapidement.

Das Haus hat einfach eine traumhafte Lage! Der Vermieter Alexandre war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar und hat auf jede Frage sofort geantwortet! Die Begrüßung mit der Tee Zeremonie war einmalig. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen! Wir haben das gesamte Haus angemietet und festgestellt, das dies wirklich nötig ist, da man sonst tatsächlich weniger Urlaubsqualität hat, wenn ein vermeintlich Fremder mit dir das Haus teilt. Für uns ein absolutes no Go! Aber zusammengefasst einfach schön!

Haus mit Aussicht

Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz und ist sehr wohnlich und gemütlich mit einem ausgeprägten asiatischen Touch eingerichtet. Ideal ist sicher, wenn das ganze aus zwei Schlafzimmern mit dazugehöriger Nasszelle bestehende Haus gemietet werden kann. Die super Aussicht von der Terrasse war definitiv ein Highlight. Alexandre war sehr hilfsbereit und die Kommunikation hat ausgezeichnet geklappt. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen und wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

La maison d'Alexandre est conforme aux photos. Une vue magnifique, le silence dans les hauteurs du Vigan. Une maison très agréable à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur. Alexandre a été très arrangeant quant aux heures d'arrivée et départ. Des merveilles sont à proximité : la chaleureuse ville du Vigan, le causse de Blandas et le cirque de Navacelles, la cascade de la Vis... Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit.
