Wonderfully relaxing stay in the mountains
We had a wonderful, impromptu stay in the mountains at Rachel’s peaceful home. It was just as described, clean, and comfortable. It had snowed just before we arrived and the drive up to the property had been freshly plowed allowing us easy access to the house. The kitchen had everything we needed and the maple syrup was an extra treat. We loved the peacefulness of the surroundings, a truly lovely place to stay. Rachel was also very responsive when we had any questions, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back again!

Peaceful stay
This is a wonderfully sized and well-equipped property with beautiful views. Our host made us feel welcome by turning the lights on for us as we would be arriving after dark and gabe great directions to make it to the property without incident.

No heat when arrived, steep rough driveway
Some shortcomings, starting with positives. The cabin was as expected--not fancy but perfectly adequate. Wonderful views. Nice secluded feeling. Lots of blankets, which were very much needed. Kitchen was entirely adequate. Like refrigerator with left door for freezer and right door for refrigerator. Lots of hot water. The driveway is steep and rough with two tracks on either side of tall weeds and caused anxiety driving a rental sedan. SUV is no problem. I suspect that a low clearance vehicle (such as some Audis) would scrape bottom. When turn off road take the steep left driveway, not the right one. The right driveway does not lead to an entrance. I am from Colorado with rough roads and 4-wheeling so when I assert nervousness about the driveway being rough for sedans that is an informed opinion. Arriving at night is tough-there is no outside light leading from the parking area to the steps and porch. The two steps do not have a handrail so unsteady person would feel awkward. NO HEAT AT ALL WHEN ARRIVED, even though the week had been cool and rainy. Called owner, she tried helping but did not know how to make the heat work. I finally figured it out. Heat in only one bedroom and main living area that took hours to warm. Many blankets help Wall outlet by dining table does not work so could not power laptop at the table. Good: parking area has plenty of room for turning around using forward-backward V cuts so can drive forwards down the steep driveway.

Beautiful Mountain Stay
My wife and our two dogs had an amazing week long stay at this beautiful property. The view was spectacular and our pups loved being able to adventure on the trails we found in the area. Rachel was a great host, super responsive and only a phone call away if we needed anything or had questions. We would absolutely rent this property again.

Amazing views
We had a great time staying here. It was exactly what we needed. Close to swimming on hot days and a quick drive to Lake Morey Resort for a wedding we attended. The view was amazing and so was the WiFi.,
