We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were kind and generous (we even got fresh eggs from the chickens!), and the house and grounds were clean, well-kept, and beautiful. We definitely want to return!
This cute little home has everything! Upon arrival we were pleasantly welcomed, and settled in easily. The home has been updated, and was very comfortable. Very clean, quiet and well maintained. Just as described in the listing. Beverly, the owner, was nearby and very pleasant.
Beautiful location, old world charm with modern conveniences! Far enough to enjoy the peaceful country side , but close enough that everything city or village amenity very accessible. We had a wonderful time with our host close by, she help us out with a small internet access issue and spent a few hours having a great conversation with her as well! Wonderful person and fantastic host! Highly recommend this property and host !
My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing 5 day get-a-way in the beautiful VT mountains. This property is nestled among green rolling hills, lined with fabulous fall foliage, complete with chickens and horses . This 1800’s farm house has been fully restored with dedication and outstanding craftsmanship. The attention to detail made you feel like you walked back in time, while still letting you enjoy the creature comforts of the present . The outside of the house was so inviting, decorated with pumpkins and mums. The beautiful side flower garden was an added treat. Two of our favorite things on the inside of the home were the claw foot tub, and the cozy king size sleigh bed. Bernice, our hostess was warm and welcoming and on hand for anything we may have needed.
Cozy cottage on 90 acre horse farm (chickens too-daily eggs) very comfortable and well equipped. Fall colors were absolutely beautiful in the rural Vermont Town. Cell a little sparse, but wifi was perfect. Bernice was a delight to meet.
The house is cozy, very tastefully decorated and super clean. It’s nestled in beautiful hills and is very private. Our host fastidiously cares for the property. It was a pleasure to meet her and we hope to return sometime soon.
We had a very relaxing time. This cape house is a cute and well equipped property located in a beautiful peaceful area. The trees were just starting to change and there were many pretty areas directly from the house to walk/hike. Bernice and Glenn, thank you for having us and for the daily eggs!!
Since we're all socked in for Covid, my partner and I decided to have a romantic weekend over New Year's. We stayed here, and were treated to a very cozy experience. The place is well taken care of, and restored nicely.
My husband and I spent our Christmas holiday at the cape house and it was just wonderful. The house is comfortable, tastefully appointed, and spotlessly clean. Plus, for fans of claw foot bathtubs, this house comes with one that must have the best view in all of New England! From it, you can watch the horses scamper on the hillside. We also enjoyed exploring the nearby hiking trails that adjoin the property. We were here for 3 nights and never even got back in the car after parking it in the driveway—it was such a restful and pleasant experience. We very much hope to return!
Very charming, beautiful property. Loved watching the horses. House was very comfortable and clean, everything you need. Burnice and Glen were very nice and easy to work with. We went to ride the area trails in our side by side. Great trails, had a great time. Thank you.

This charming farmhouse, located on a 90-acre property, is heaven. The home itself is simply furnished but utterly charming. The chickens and horses were a delight. If you are looking for an escape - peace, quiet, relaxation - this is your spot. The owner is around the property a couple of times a day to tend to the animals; she is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return if our travels take us to the area again. Bonus: The lack of light pollution means some amazing star gazing.
I can't say enough good things about this property! Burnice and Glenn were lovely and it was so interesting to hear about Glenn's loving restoration of the house. The room decorations and antiques just added to the charm. The house/doors/windows are very well insulated, so any noise from the road or the animals was almost non-existent. We loved being able to sit in the comfy lawn chairs in the shade of the house in the morning to watch the hummingbirds in the gardens and then sit on the other side of the lawns in the afternoon (under the shade of the apple trees) and watch the horse, the hawks, and the peaceful meadows. Very comfortable bed and furnishings and the claw foot tub was a highlight! We will be back next time we need a get away!

Thank you for staying with us. You were delightful!
The property, people, and area made our trip a winter wonderland. Access to the cabin is easy, the views are amazing, the property manager was easily accessible and extremely accommodating, and we would definitely visit again.
Unquestionably the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in! Well equipped, charming house near many charming Vermont towns. Attentive owners nearby. Large farm table perfect for family dinners. Spotless Bathroom with claw foot tub as well as separate shower.
