About this property

Retreat at Ticklenaked Pond ~WIFI & outdoor shower

If you are looking for a place to disconnect and unwind this is the perfect space for you! Enjoy your days kayaking, fishing and swimming on Ticklenaked pond. There are 6+ kayaks available for use (including life jackets), as well as fishing rods. If you would like to bring your boat, there is a boat ramp located next to the public beach area for easy access. (No wake is allowed - maximum speed on the pond is 5 mph).

Interested in sailing? We have a sunfish sailboat that can be rented daily for an additional fee (message for details.)

The house has beautiful views! Enjoy your mornings listening to the loons call, while sipping a cup of coffee from our brand new deck. Spend your days enjoying outdoor activities on our spacious lawn, and your evenings enjoying s’mores around the campfire!

The house comfortably sleeps 6:
Bedroom 1: Queen Bed
Bedroom 2: Queen Bed
Additional sleep space on lower level with 2 twin beds (located in common space).

We do have 1 AC unit upstairs which is installed in the dining room/kitchen area.

A Weber gas grill has been provided for your use, as well as a well stocked kitchen including: Microwave, Gas Range, Fridge, Keurig, cookware and grilling tools.

For entertainment, we also have numerous board games available for your enjoyment.

There is a brand new cedar outdoor shower available for use! Additionally we have 2 hanging hammock chairs located on the lower level (under the deck.) This is a perfect space to escape the sun and cuddle up with a good book!

**Please note that our house is not directly waterfront, you will need to access Ticklenaked pond from the public beach, a short walk away.

** Cellphone service is unpredictable. We have installed a cellphone booster, and have wifi available onsite. Please note that rural Vermont and New Hampshire have limited wifi options. Consolidated is the only provider for our area. My husband and I have worked remote from the house with no issues; that being said, we cannot guaranty internet speed or impact from weather related events! The house has a smart TV with free Pluto TV streaming, or login for your Netflix account (there is no Cable TV).

We are happy to accommodate longer term rentals (if interested) for extended vacations, or traveling doctors/nurses working for Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH (short 10 minute drive away.)

We welcome you to our Lake Lodge, and hope you enjoy the space as much as we do!

Amazing view
We enjoyed our stay here. It was the perfect base for visiting family in the area. The house had plenty of room for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed. The view over the pond was amazing! Unfortunately there was rain so we didn’t get to use the deck or fire pit but maybe next time. Would definitely stay here again.

Retreat was the correct description!
The property was as promised, a retreat for sure! Katie was very responsive, and tended to all the details. The view was beautiful and the fireflies were amazing. It was a great place to get away and unhook.

Enjoyable stay in Vermont Countryside
My wife and I and our 4 teenagers enjoyed our stay at the Lake Lodge on Ticklenaked Pond. The kitchen and living room were well stocked with kitchenware/seating and the decor was modern and very welcoming! The wrap around deck is one of the sing stars of this property as every morning we sat outside drinking a cup of coffee and listening to the birds, frogs, and other various wildlife. The view of the pond was equally nice both in the morning and at sunset. My son used the outdoor shower and there was plenty of hot water. If you haven’t stayed in Vermont in the early summer, you will encounter some bugs and insects outside. There were a few in the downstairs part of the cabin when we first arrived late in the evening, but after a day of staying there we didn’t see anymore downstairs. When traveling to Vermont, we will not hesitate to stay here again!
