Custom Log Cabin on Wild Ammonoosuc River

Welcome to River Ridge Lodge!
Our custom Coventry Log Homes design log cabin is located in the beautiful White Mountains perched on a ridge overlooking the Wild Ammonoosuc River. To get to our cabin you will cross over one of the historic Bath Covered Bridges and discover one of our hidden treasures, the spectacular Swiftwater Swimming Hole (known as 'the Big Eddy'). The river is also a well known area for trout fishing as well as panning for gold and gems!

Our beautiful, river-front log cabin, is unique from other log cabins. River Ridge Lodge is very open, bright and airy with cathedral ceilings, skylights and golden colored pine woodwork. The cabin is right above the river with its constant soothing sounds that will relax and unwind you as you sit on the expansive farmer's porch or enjoy the warmth of the sun on the very private sunning deck with its own private outdoor shower. With its South-West facing to capture the day long sun, River Ridge Lodge will deliver an experience of pure tranquility.
If you do not wish leave the world behind completely, you will also enjoy the modern amenities of satellite TV with a big screen HDTV and streaming channels, plus WIFI. However, if you do leave the property, cell phone signal is very limited in any direction for about 15 minutes. It truly is a retreat!
The 1st and 2nd floor loft each have a queen bed and a full bathroom. The master bath has a luxurious walk-in tiled shower with heated fan. The 1st floor has an open kitchen, dining area and living room with a gas-burning wood stove and big screen HDTV. The large front porch is furnished with Adirondack chairs from Pollywood furniture. It is a the perfect spot for relaxing, reading and observing nature. The Wild Ammonoosuc River is just at the foot of the hill with parking and access to a cleared 'beach' area at the edge of the Wild Ammonoosuc River. Bring folding chairs and a lunch or bottle of wine and enjoy a cooling dip in the crystal clear river water.
Our Cabin is located one mile from the historic center of Bath, home to the famous Brick Store which closed during Covid. Bath is actually the home of three covered bridges with the Bath-Haverhill Bridge being the oldest covered bridge still in use in NH. Bath is noted for its historic architecture. Much of the Victorian era architecture in the village has been preserved, particularly in the Federal and Greek Revival styles. The town includes the village of Swiftwater and part of the district known as Mountain Lakes.
We are 15 minutes from a Walmart and 30 minutes to Home Depot, Lowes, Shaws, TJ Maxx and many delicious restaurants.

this is a really nice property. Very quiet and peaceful. We were there for three days and enjoyed short days trips to see the changing colors of the leaves and came back to cabin to enjoy a beverage on the porch.

Family Getaway

We loved our time at the cabin! The back porch with river views was spectacular. The outdoor shower was a hit for the kids. We were able to enjoy nature, play in the river at the Big Eddy, and explore Littleton. The cabin has everything you need, it cozy, and just right! We will be back for sure!

Perfect weekend getaway!

This is our second year staying here and everything was just as we had remembered! The location is so beautiful and peaceful and the cabin is cute, cozy, clean and well-maintained. We came during a wicked cold snap and the fireplace kept us toasty warm. It’s the perfect size for our family of four - our two young boys had remembered it from the year before and were so excited to be back! We hope to return again next year!

Memorial weekend trip

Great time and great accommodations. We had beautiful weather and a porch to enjoy it on. No complaints! Some observations: cleaning service there till 3:25pm, mosquitos pushed us off porch at dusk, trash barrel was full and made difficult to add too without attracting wildlife, something I think you’re trying to avoid. Thank you!

Love the house, love the setting

If you are looking for a place that is somewhat secluded, but a short drive to small towns, this is the place. The home was very neat and tidy and well supplied with all necessities. We had a problem with a squeaky bed which we communicated with the owner and got a response from the property manager within an hour and fixed the problem that afternoon. Very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Quiet escape with at home feel

This was a great weekend away. After having a trip Internationally cancelled due to COVID twice, plus 3 trips to visit family cancelled - we were in need of some time away! The cottage was remote but had all the luxuries of home to make it a perfect escape. We were amazed at how dark and quiet it was at night and loved going out to the outdoor shower to stargaze! Hope to come back.

Everything we had hoped for, and more!

We had a wonderful, adventurous family vacation week at River Ridge! We brought our two young adult children, and there was plenty of room for the four of us in this beautiful cabin. It is well stocked and every detail is clean, convenient, and upscale. The town of Bath provides a perfect starting point for adventures throughout the White Mountain Region. We traveled to the Flume Gorge, hiked at Mt Washington and the "Presidentials", visited North Conway, walked to Bridal Veil Falls, and rode down to the Lakes Region to see the "On Golden Pond" region and enjoy the views and the quaint villages. We particularly loved the trek along the Kancamagus Highway, which provided us with some short hikes to waterfalls and along rocky rivers, some gorgeous scenic views, and wildlife sightings galore! We saw a black bear and three moose, among others. River Ridge Cabin is positioned along the Wild Ammonoosuc River, and we loved spending the evenings down by the river watching the sunset. The porch is beautiful and the outdoor shower is great - private and peaceful. This getaway would be beautiful in any season! The owner is thorough and responsive. It was a perfect vacation. We hope to visit again. Thank you!!

Our property is unique because it is a two bedroom, two bath, fully furnished custom log cabin with skylights, a vaulted ceiling , beautiful gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit, outdoor shower. It is overlooking a river that is great for panning, swimming, floating and relaxing. Many great local restaurants and breweries that are an easy drive from the cabin.
