About this property
Wakulla Springs State Park and St. Marks Wildlife Refuge are just minutes away.
Staying at Lewiswood Retreat will give you the opportunity to get away from the crowds and enjoy our quiet country setting.
It is large enough for 6 people. Enjoy the outdoors on the screened back porch or front porch while you enjoy your morning coffee. Listen to the birds and watch for the rabbits that live around us. Hopefully, you will see the white tail deer that are our neighbors. A grill is available for outside cooking.
Before we approve your pet, we must know your pet's breed, age and size and if he/she will be on good behavior if you have to leave him/her alone in the Retreat? A pet fee for 1 pet will be $50. charged upon approval. Any additional pets will be $50. per stay. Our concern is that your pet is safe and so is our Retreat.
The Retreat has a large dining room and fully equipped kitchen with the things you would need to cook a full meal. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
If you have time to do some sightseeing, Wakulla Springs which has one of the world's largest spring is just a short drive of about 10 minutes away as is St. Marks Wildlife Refuge which is known for a large variety of birds. It is listed as one of the 50 best places in the world to go birding. The Tallahassee to St. Marks Bike Trail is minutes away as is Natural Bridge which was the site of the Civil War Battle. Escape the cold and come south for the winter.
Come to Lewiswood to escape the bitter cold of the North. Spend your days enjoying the outdoors rather than staying indoors. So many outdoor things to do where social distancing will not be a problem. We recently had a family stay with us for ten days from Colorado. Each morning they were up and out of the house by 8:00 to go birding. Our Part of the state still has lots of room to roam. We love our retired quests who are staying healthy by enjoying the great outdoors. We look forward to welcoming new visitors and our repeat guests, all the best in this new year.
