Welcoming home overlooking lake with forested hill country views
A wonderful 2-story retreat on a secluded cove of Lake Travis with beautiful hill country views. Two large balconies overlooking the cove, and limestone steps going down to the lake. (Lake level fluctuates often; please ask!) Three bedrooms - master includes a Jacuzzi, walk-in shower, and private top-floor balcony overlooking the hill country. The open-plan kitchen/dining/living space walks out to the lower balcony with plenty of seating and a large grill.
Head on down the beautiful limestone steps to the water and a hiking area that leads to secret swimming holes. There is seating on multiple levels to relax, enjoy the nature around, and entertain family and friends. Enjoy a fire or a picnic on the patio just down from the house. Jump right in the water for a swim or paddle around in the canoe and kayak available when the cove is full. Then head back up to the balconies to watch the beautiful Texas sky. Enjoy the large record collection or watch your favorite movies on the 46" TV while cooking in the well-equipped and comfortable kitchen. The large, fenced-in front yard gives a nice contrast to the back area. Here, you get all the pleasures and relaxation of hill country living, but you're just a short drive from thriving Austin with its vibrant music scene and endless opportunities. *Note that Lake Travis fluctuates through the year depending on rainfall. Check current lake levels or reach out to find out the current level behind the house.

Beautiful home with everything we needed and more, including plenty of space for us to spread out, balconies, cooking tools, record player, toiletries, and a fenced-in front yard for our kids and dog. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!
The home was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, with beautiful mountain views and easy walking access to the lake. Everything was exactly as described, and the host made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. It was the perfect place to relax and get away for a bit. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
We had a the absolute best time!! Great home, fantastic views so much for kids and all the adults. We will absolutely be coming back!! Also Sam was awesome and so very helpful!!
The property exceeded all of our expectations and made for a very special weekend! The swimming hole near the house was absolutely perfect and felt very secluded. Would recommend this stay for anyone interested!!
Home was exactly as advertised clean, large, and well decorated. Hosts were easy to talk to and were extremely accommodating. The property is a true gem!
Great stay as always. I love the lake and hill country views and seeing all the stars at night. The location is convenient to shopping, wine tasting and for us just a short 5 minute drive to our daughter’s house. We will most likely stay again soon.
What an amazing stay. This property is beautiful, well kept and the owners were so kind and accommodating. The available canoe and kayak were truly a plus and even our pup enjoyed paddling around. One of the top rentals I have stayed in. Thank you for an amazing stay! I truly hope we’ll make it back :)
Check-in was easy and welcoming. There was some debris in the cove behind the house from recent flooding, but the host recommended a nearby waterfall, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Beautiful property and nice area.
We had a lovely stay celebrating my mother’s birthday. The hosts were very nice and accommodating! We will definitely book again in the future, this is a beautiful spot for anyone who enjoys nature and time away to relax from a bustling city!
The property was gorgeous. We really wanted more time. If we ever make another Austin roadtrip, we know where we’re staying.

Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this beautiful place 5 years ago while exploring Lake Travis. The first thing we noticed were the fantastic limestone steps going down from the back of the house, but we fell in love with the privacy and musical nature sounds every evening. Looking out to the hills from the balcony is always one of our favorite things.
What makes this property unique
We appreciate the security of being part of a friendly little neighborhood but with the privacy of the country and short commute into Austin. When you sit on the balconies, it feels like you're the only ones around. But then going to the front yard feels like you're in a completely separate place with a fenced-in green yard in the middle of a little neighborhood. The house is a comfortable family home but also perfect for entertaining with a spacious kitchen opening into the dining and living area. This home is ideal both for short visits and longer stays.
