About the host
Hosted by Greg Cooper

We are the Cooper family. Greg has been a veterinarian for 38 years and is still enjoying taking care of dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Corinne taught elementary school for 30 years, volunteers, and teaches reading and math a few days a week in her retirement. Our two children are both grown up, married, and live about an hour away from us in Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. Now, we are blessed by four children and two granddogs :-), with our first grandchild on the way! We have lived at the foot of Pike’s Peak in Woodland Park, Colorado for 38 years, but we both grew up in Charlotte, Michigan becoming high school sweethearts 46 years ago.
Why they chose this property
Greg explored Ouray on a senior camping trip. He brought Corinne and the kids here to camp and stay at B&B’s, too. We all fell in love with this “Mayberry in the Mountains” and “Switzerland of America”: God really outdid Himself creating this beautiful place! Someday, we would love to spend more time here in retirement enjoying family gatherings and possible future grandchildren to share all of the things Ouray has to offer:-)
What makes this property unique
The House of Yesteryear is a very special place with a three story rock as tall as the house to the south, historic ore cart and tallest pine tree on Oak Street in the front yard, inviting stained glass and oak front door, unequalled views of Cascade Falls and the Amphitheater mountains from the tranquil porch and many windows, and did we mention the 360 degree million dollar views?
