About this property
Distinctive Cabin + Cozy Guesthouse + Sauna Near Major Attractions, Fiber
Hidden Valley Hideaway is tucked away in the mountains among the apple orchards and vineyards of North Carolina. Both the main cabin and separate guesthouse are included. The guesthouse is built on a steep slope giving a feeling of being in the trees. Internet is via fiber, so the entire family can stream at the same time. This is a one of a kind property with artist touches throughout. The property is a destination itself - you will never stay at another place like it.
The main level of the main cabin features a king bedroom, kitchen, dining area, loft area with twin bed, bathroom (off of kitchen) and family room. The lower level of the main cabin features a family suite with an en-suite bathroom, queen, double and twin bed, a half bathroom and family room with a professional foosball table, several board games, children's books and puzzles. Each family room includes a TV with Netflix. Outside we provide a regulation size cornhole set and life size Jenga.
The guesthouse is located about 50 feet from the main cabin and features a queen bed and two twin beds in the loft. There is a pleasant cedar aroma (think cedar closet) in this guesthouse due to the cedar wood used throughout the construction. There is no plumbing in the guesthouse. The bathroom on the lower level of the main cabin is convenient to access with the paved path between the buildings.
This property has two outdoor fire areas, a 4 burner Weber grill, an outdoor dining area, sauna, laundry, numerous outdoor seating areas and ample parking.
Accessing the main level requires climbing 2 steps from the upper parking area (main parking). The lower level requires going down 13 steps from the main level. The lower level can be accessed without any steps if parking in the rear parking area (accessible via dirt road, room for one car).
A dehumidifier on the lower level of the cabin helps maintain a comfortable living environment. This dehumidifier is connected to a drain and does not require any maintenance from guests. Cellular service is very limited in the valley and your phone may not work. A land line phone is provided with free calls to the U.S. and Canada. The cabin has a wall AC unit on the main level and a portable AC in the lower level family suite. The bunkhouse has a window AC unit.
The fireplaces on the lower level and main level (electric) of the cabin are the primary heat source in winter. These fireplaces are turned off during the summer. The bunkhouse is heated with a wall mounted space heater in winter.
The property is located in a valley down a hill with several turns. The road is paved and state maintained so is easily accessible with any vehicle. Snow is possible during winter and can impact access to the property (but is very rare). In the event that significant snow/ice is present or forecast during your stay and you are not comfortable driving in those conditions, you will be allowed to modify or cancel up to one day prior to check in without penalty.
You have full access to the property - you will be the only people on the property. There is a second guesthouse (not pictured) that is currently being used for storage that you will not have access to.
