Hosts are nearby and responded quickly to all our needs. Shops and restaurants in walking distance and we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely book again.
Perfect place to stay for a night while exploring Seward. The location was awesome and within walking distance to great restaurants. The bed was comfortable which is very important to us!
Good location. Just a couple of blocks from restaurants, shops, and the SeaLife Center. A historic building but in very good condition. We were very pleased with it.
We stayed here over Mother’s Day weekend and really enjoyed it. The location is central, just a short walk to the waterfront, restaurants, and everything we needed. The weather was beautiful, and the place itself was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Great little spot in a great part of town.
This apartment was so comfortable! It was perfect for our stay in Seward. Incredibly centrally located in the historic downtown area, easy walk to everything. We hope to stay again.
I had a very pleasant stay. Easily accessible to restaurants and parks. The apartment was clean and well maintained. Shelly was great and very accomodating. I would recommend this place to others.
Great little place in the central part of Seward with good amenities for a trip with teenagers. Made meals there and truly enjoyed our time. Super comfy bed!

About the host
Hosted by Shelly Lindell
Love Alaska and the great outdoors. We have wonderful friends in Seward and decided to become a part of this amazing community. Matt and I re both from the Midwest - MN and IA. We met in Denver and moved to Alaska in 2002. We absolutely love traveling and being hosts, mostly to share stories and adventures. When we get a chance to talk with our guests, it renews our love for our home and community. We are so blessed. We want to share this blessing with everyone.
Why they chose this property
Because it’s part of Alaska History. it is one of the oldest buildings in Seward and we loved the history and the possibilities to bring it back to life. We have worked hard to provide a nice clean quaint and quiet place to stay. We have local residents in the building who you may run into out and about. Some are born and raised in Seward!!
What makes this property unique
This property is very unique. It is one of Seward's oldest buildings build in either 1905 or 1906. It was a boarding house to the railroad workers in the early 1900's. It survived the 1964 earthquake tsunami. In 2017, we bought this run down virtually empty building and spent every weekend for 6 years coming down from Anchorage and renovating the entire place. Just my husband and I. We have finally moved to Seward and love this amazing community. We hope you love what we have done to restore history.
