Cozy open floor plan great for all to socialize, even the person doing the cooking . Has a very nice space for BBQing and hanging out next to a small stream running throughout the property.

The cabin was the perfect place to stay. If we are fortunate to travel back to the area will definitely stay in the cabin. I have already recommended the cabin to a couple of friends who are planning a trip next year.

Great space! Perfect size for my friend and I’s adventure to Seward, Clean, comfortable, host was great at communication, and the location was great. Nice and quiet and close to the Seward Highway and all the town had to offer.

Very charming, warm and welcoming home! Lona and Dean are great hosts that provide a clean, wonderfully stocked property. Outdoor amenities were also great. Would stay again!

A little treasure. Loved exploring Seward and the area and this thoughtfully furnished property with inside amenities and outside activities in the yard were perfect for our family. Lona is a delight and provides welcoming and clear guidance on the stay. Kitchen was well furnished. Property is clean. And laundry access was handy for our 9-day AK vacation.

This was a great place to stay. The host had everything we could possibly need, right down to fresh home made cookies when we arrived. Very well stocked and comfortable. Would highly recommend this place for your adventure.

My family and I stayed in 5 different accommodations during our trip to Alaska, but Fisherman’s get away stood out by miles. The host thought of everything we could need and provided. Utensils, coffee, laundry supplies, slippers, cooler, etc etc were provided for us to use. The space was charming and beautifully decorated and was perfect for the small group we had. The cookies were also very delicious. This is truly a hidden gem! Thank you for being a part of our memorable trip:)

This is a wonderful, two bedroom suite attached to what was the owner’s original self-built home. It is impressively decorated in a true Alaskan fisherman’s style. The owners are ridiculously talented decorators and artists. We personally met Lona and she is a hoot. A proud Alaskan to her core. We loved hearing the stories about her property and the Seward area. If you’re looking for a rental with authentic Alaskan flair, this is the place for you. All the amenities you need are provided, be it for a one night stay or a longer term rental. I especially enjoyed the "steam room" feature in the tiled shower. Man, did that feel good! We would definitely return to Lona & Dean’s “Fisherman’s Get Away” if we were to return to Seward. And I'm already going to recommend this rental to friends who are contemplating an Alaskan road trip like the one we just finished. Lona and Dean's house was a highlight for us. It’s awesome!

Extraordinary value for the money, at least at the time of year that I visited (late winter). It's basically a fully furnished 2 bed, 1 bath apartment with full kitchen and laundry appliances. Very clean, comfortable, plenty of space, and all the things you'd need for any length of stay. I've stayed at a lot of places in Seward and this is the best of the bunch.
