PLEASE NOTE: There is an unresolved problem on the VRBO website that I have been trying to have corrected over the past several weeks. As a result, an additional 7% town tax will be added to your lease. This is in addition to the NEW 4.5% Delaware state accommodations tax that went into effect in September, 2024. When VRBO added the new tax to their platform, they eliminated the Bethany Beach Town Tax in error. This problem has affected every property owner in the state of Delaware where local taxes are in effect.
Luxurious and spacious vacation home in Bethany Beach! Great Room with cathedral ceiling and gas fireplace, dining room seats 22, wet bar with wine cooler, fully-equipped kitchen. The color scheme is inspired by beach glass and sand dunes. Screened porch, covered front porch and sun deck for your outdoor enjoyment - plus a gas grill and outdoor shower. Rental includes 2 beach parking passes that permit FREE parking on any residential street in Bethany Beach. Main level bedrooms are 1 King suite with whirlpool tub and separate shower, 1 Queen and twin with private bath access. Upstairs are 1 King with private bath, 2 Queens (one with an additional twin bed) with a shared bath, and a Bunk Room with 2 twin/double and 1 twin/twin bunk beds, also with a private bath (who wants to share with the kids?). There is driveway parking for 6+ cars. Located in quiet Turtle Walk, we are 10 blocks from the ocean. No Smoking, No Pets. RESERVE NOW. Find us on social media, too. Calendar is always up to date, please check before inquiring. We have a minimum rental age of 25 unless there is a parent chaperone who stays with you at the house for the duration of your stay. Lease and security deposit required, along with a copy of your driver's license.

Beach Access: The beach is one mile from our house. Rental includes 2 Bethany Beach parking passes that permit FREE and UNLIMITED parking on any residential street in Bethany Beach, including the blocks by the beach. The permit is not valid at parking meters. Additionally, the town provides a free beach shuttle trolley that runs through our neighborhood 2 times per hour during the Summer season. Just flag it down in front of the house. Another alternative is biking. Bring your own or rent one (2 locations in town, one within walking distance of the house). The main road between our house and the beach has a bike lane and, of course, the terrain is flat. It is an easy walk for adults, not so much for very young children. My 5 year-old niece biked to the beach with no problem.

Pool and Tennis: Tennis is located @ 1 mile away in Ocean View. There is a water park in Fenwick Island called Thunder Lagoon (5 miles south) that has a lazy river, kiddie pool, and water slides. There are no public pools in Bethany Beach. Rehoboth Beach (12 miles north) also has a water park.

Our Community - Turtle Walk: Turtle Walk is a quiet residential community of custom homes with many year-round residents. All parking is off-street. There is no through traffic making our streets perfect for a leisurely stroll, bike, jog, etc. There are 2 fitness clubs, golf, and tennis nearby. Fenwick Island, Ocean City and Rehoboth Beach have water parks. The town has a boardwalk, community center, frequent free concerts at the bandstand, volleyball courts, great shops and restaurants, plus a miniature golf course.

Amazing Beach Weekend

We had an amazing time with family and friends. The home was well maintained and perfect location for quick beach and local activities. Best part was the beach trolley stopped right outside the home 2x an hour! Everyone in the neighborhood was extremely friendly too!

I went with my husband and our two kids ages 3 and 10 months along with our friends, which included four other families. The place was very clean, fit our group so well, and it took just a few minutes to drive to the Bethany Beach! We would be happy to come back again!

I was impressed with the size of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Also, there are two big dining tables, a smaller one that expands, and a breakfast bar. Plenty of seating, dishes, glassware, and utensils for feeding a large group. Lots of storage in the kitchen for food.

Fun Family Trip

We had a great time staying at this property. The house was well equipped (note: you do have to bring your own sheets/towels or rent them locally). We had plenty of room for adults and kids. Walking distance to food, nature center, and shops. The dining/living room was a great place for everyone to hang out! The trolley comes right by the house a least once an hour. It is within walking distance to the Asswoman Canal Trail, which we loved.

The property worked very well for our needs. We were a group of 11 ( 4 adults and 7 teenagers). The house allowed enough space for us all to branch out as needed, as well as a large enough central space for all of us to gather when we wanted! The trolley was great and the beach was an easy 1 mile walk for those that wanted to get their steps in! I would highly recommend this location - it was very functional and efficient!!

We travel a lot and rent a lot of houses along the way. This is the 1st place we rented that did not include linens or towels. They had to be rented and the link to rent them wasnt working. When the new link was issued, the prices were insane. When we got to the house, we could not get in, because the host forgot to send me the keycode for the front door. After riding over 300 miles, we had to wait until the service contacted the owner before being able to come in and relax after our long journey. This took about 40 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, not all of our family members were able to make it and it rained 2 out of 4 days. But, with the large open family area we were able to play cards, etc. and make the most of it. The house has plenty of spaces to retreat to for privacy as well. The day we were able to make it to the beach - it was a 5 minute drive. Nice that the Trolley stops at the drive way too. Overall, a nice place to stay for a large family.

Very nice property for a family get together

The property was very nice and clean and was able to accommodate 4 families with kids ranging from 4 to 16. They had a great time in the room with all bunk beds. All families had a great time too at this place. The shuttle to pick us and drop off for the beach stops right in front of the house, and it services every 30 minutes. Small kids loved the ride. The house also provided us with 2 passes to park at the beach. Would definitely recommend this place. I had to reach out to the host once and she responded fairly quickly.

Nice roomy space for me and 5 siblings. First floor queen bath shower was dirty, moldy. The inventory listings on the back of bedroom doors were missing or incomplete. The location was great for our purposes and we had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend together.

Hawksbill stay

There were a few downers for our stay. Most prominently, the kitchen lacked a set of measuring spoons, and ther was only one measuring cup. Also, the propane ran out, and the extra tank was empty. Less importantly, the house is 1.5 miles from the beach, not one mile as advertised. Finally, there were no beach chairs, umbrellas etc, which we had to rent. On the positive side, it’s a very comfortable and quiet house, on a quiet neighborhood.

We had a great time. The House was as advertised. In a residential area which made it home like. It was about 1.2-1.5 miles to beach (I walked it) A bit far without a bike or car. You could take the trolley also. The house had all the supplies (knives, forks, spoons, pots, pans, washer/dryer etc) We had up to 12 people at a time (family came as they could get time off). Got a little nervous when I received the door code the day before departing home since we were coming from different states, but received in time not to be a problem All in all a wonderful family vacation which included “home base” (the house)

Spacious house with some issues

The house had plenty of space and room for the 6 of us for our weekend. It was nice to enter early and leave later than our experience with other homes due to availability. However, it did not seem as "loved" as other homes we stayed in in the area over the years particularly in cleanliness and upkeep. The first floor did not smell clean when we arrived and there were things that needed minor repairs (running toilets, clogged tub, stuck slider door that would not open.) Several of us reacted to something in the house with severe stuffy noses and coughs that cleared up every time we left the home even for an hour. The screened in porch and porch furniture was too dirty to enjoy. We did contact the owner who replied quickly and told us to contact the housekeepers. We honestly did not want to deal with waiting for or working around housekeepers during our long weekend, so we did not call. We felt these issues should have been cared for before we arrived because most were obvious.

The House is beautiful BUT......

The house is beautiful, but, for the amount of money it costs, we should be able to have control of the air. Only one room In the house was comfortable to sleep in with a reasonable amount of air. When you have the max amount of people you can have in a house that big, 72 is not comfortable. All upstairs rooms were crazy hot at night. No one, and I mean, NO ONE slept with a blanket. I'm just thankful we all brought fans. The outside grill was a struggle. It was not easy to start it so we just didn't use it. That stunk because on beautiful summer days the guys like to cook out! The WIFI is terrible as well. Expect to use up a lot of your internet plan as it goes in and out all day and night. We tried everything to get it to not kick out, but nothing worked. Again, with the amount we spent for renting it for the week, these are three things that need to work for the benefit of the families staying. Its big, its beautiful but it costs too much

Great House for our Golf Trip

4 couples looking for a big house for a fun golf and beach weekend. We had plenty of privacy, each having our own bedrooms and bathrooms. Common area very amenable to group cocktail hour and late night chats. Location was great too, close enough to beach and restaurants and local golf courses. Overall a great house. I would rent again for sure.

We absolutely had a blast - 5 families in this house - plenty of privacy and excellent spaces for a big group. The trolley stops right in front of the house and it is so fun to ride and enjoy the other neighborhoods. Had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to rebook!

Our family has vacationed in Bethany Beach for over 50 years. We now have 5 generations who have enjoyed the sand and surf of Bethany. I built this home to accommodate our growing family and the needs of multiple generations.

Why they chose this property

We found it increasing difficult to find an affordable vacation home that could comfortably accommodate multiple families at once. I designed and built this home to meet our family's need for private bedrooms for adults and a spacious bunk room for kids. My biggest priority was an in town location so we could use beach parking passes and the town trolley. From the expansive great room, to the wonderful porches and deck - you'll find comfortable relaxing space for everyone.

What makes this property unique

Even the last person to shower has hot water with our on-demand water heaters. Our off-season guests love the gas fireplace for cozy evenings after a day of golf or biking. Two bedrooms and two baths on the main floor are perfectly suited for seniors, like my parents. It's just the right mix of together space and private space. We've hosted many church retreats and adult group getaways such as golfing friends and book clubs, youth sports teams, scout troops, and scrapbooking clubs.
