This cabin was pretty much as you see in the pictures and description. I would call it rustic with some modern touches. It was a great getaway trip that made it very convenient for having our dog with us.Perks: Having a fenced area made potty trips and outdoor time very easy. It was even quieter than we expected. It is further from the interstate than a lot of places in these narrow mountain towns, and the road going by the cabin was not heavily traveled. The cabin was very clean, and the little touches like dog biscuits, movies and games were nice to have. The electric fireplace was nice too. We appreciate the clear signage for tips and rules. It makes it easier to use everything and to be good visitors. Some items to know: The fenced area grass is pretty sparse, so if it is rainy or has snowmelt happening, it will likely be muddy. They provide lots of towels for wiping doggie feet though. The driveway is a bit narrow and curved, so it's best for confident drivers. And unless you have small vehicles like we do, you'll probably end up double parking if you have two cars. Not a big deal, but worth noting. We recommend this cabin and plan to stay again in the future.
Gorgeous property with an amazing view. The fence is PERFECT for those of us with dogs (especially dogs who can jump high). The inside was warm, clean, well decorated, with great tasting water and a well-stocked kitchen.Perfect place for us to retreat and celebrate getting married recently.
We weren’t expecting a snowstorm for our full day there, but thrilled we got to enjoy the views and serenity of the cabin while watching it fall!Everything you need is right there, with helpful notes to find items. Loved the fireplace and the yard for the dogs. Excellent stay!
A cozy getaway from our busy lives! We were able to play with our dogs in the fenced yard, make dinner, cozy up and all watch movies together. Exactly what we were looking for. So comfortable and sweet!
Great location! It was perfect for two adults and a dog. We loved how dog friendly it was and wished we would have booked for more days. We hope to be back soon!
The cabin was very clean and perfect for the 2 of us and our husky. She loved the fenced in area of the yard and it was perfect for letting her out in the middle of the night. We were there the last week of September and the weather was perfect with the aspens changing colors. Georgetown lake is just a couple of miles away and has a great path to walk around and enjoy the scenery. Whatever you like to do, this cabin is in a great proximity to many different places and activities. The only thing we didn't like was how close we were to other cabins. Would also like to mention that Natalie (the host) was great, if we had any problems she was quick to respond and help. Would definitely stay here again.
This little cabin was the perfect spot on the last 2 days of our trip through Colorado. It was clean, comfy and a great area to relax for a few days. The views were spectacular! The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The grill worked perfect for our steaks. It was a good spot and we would definitely stay again.
Had an amazing time at the cabin, had everything we needed, very clean, amazing views from back porch. Loved exploring the little towns nearby, lots of history in the area. Train ride and mine tour is a must. Owner responded quickly to all messages, definitely coming back
The cabin was cute and cozy. Had everything we needed. The yard was perfect for the dogs. The views of mountains all around was beautiful. Great location. Even though it’s a small town, it was still Close to a lot of things/activities. Highway is near by but did not bother us one bit.
Nicely updated 'miners' cabin. Very clean and comfortable. No air conditioning, but it finally cooled down with windows open and a fan in the bedroom. The fan also helps cover up the hwy noise. It was a perfect location for us as we wanted to spend time in Georgetown and Idaho Springs. Enjoyed the firepit on the deck as well.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very convenient to Georgetown and surrounding communities - we hiked to Horsethief Falls, drove the Guanella Pass, ate out at local restaurants, and shopped at local stores. The cabin was very clean and had all the comforts of home. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this cabin again.
Great place. Exactly as advertised. Bedroom is small, but sufficient. Kitchen has the right things. Living space is great. Outdoor space is excellent. Location is a short drive from Georgetown. Highway is close and you hear the traffic with the windows open. We kinda wish we'd brought our dog as this would have been a perfect place! Would definitely rent again.
