Beautiful apartment with all modern comforts near the beaches of Nazaré at 5km and São Martinho do Porto at a little more, Alcobaça is 5 km away it is 1 km from the exit of the A8 motorway which connects Lisbon to Porto by the coast. Lisbon airport is about 1 hour by car about a hundred Kms. The apartment has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a large living room with fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, hob, oven, fridge, etc.) and a comfortable living room with a 3-seater sofa. + chaise longue, a clic-clac, a television etc, and of an entrance hall and finally of a small terrace giving on the parental room from where one has a beautiful point of view on the village and the surroundings. it is located on the 3rd floor without elevator, it has sloping ceilings from at least 3.5m so you can breathe well as you can see in the photos, it has lots of light. It is located in a village of about 3000 inhabitants with shops at the foot of the apartment. Bakers, press, tea room, hairdressers, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants including a very good "Vinha d'Alhos" next to the train station the same street as the apartment as well as various places where you can take away ( grills, fried foods, soups, daily specials ...) at very reasonable prices. Two gems of medieval Portuguese architecture can be found nearby, the Cistercian monastery of Alcobaça with the famous tombs of Ines de Castro (the famous Dead Queen) and Peter 1st of Portugal, and the monastery of Batalha with its imperfect chapels and their lace carved in stone. Valado is a charming village where you have to get lost in its narrow alleys which are reminiscent of its distant Moorish origins where you will discover small shops nestled in its charming little corners. In Nazaré there is no shortage of restaurants on the seafront on the embankment or in its typical alleys where there is always the rare pearl often cheaper than on the seafront and you can taste good fish dishes (caldeirada ) You must also stop at "o santo" to taste the various shells prepared by the house for generations by tasting a good green wine or a good beer and since you are at "o santo" do not forget to take the 'Elevador (fenicular) which will take you to the top of the cliff on Sitio the upper town to see the magnificent view of the bay of Nazaré and the waves today very popular from its North beach opposite to surf by great specialists such as Mac NAMARA among others. We would be happy to welcome you in this very rare setting today, between nature, history, and human kindness., Of this people of sailors and ploughmen with their centuries-old traditions. Welcome.
