The Gîte Pigeonnier "la Brugue" is located in the town of Puygouzon, 5km south of Albi in the direction of Castres, in a very peaceful residential area. You can, from the gîte, take the Chemin des Droits de l'Homme (greenway built on the old railway connecting Castres and Albi) and explore Albi (Episcopal City listed as World Heritage by Humanity), from Réalmont, bastide royale or Lautrec, one of the most beautiful villages in France, famous for its pink garlic. After a day full of discoveries, you will appreciate the sweet summer evenings under the pergola, or by the pool.

Small independent gite, recently designed dovecote, for two people, near the owners' house. Ground floor: living room / kitchen with pantry, lounge, shower room, wc. Upstairs bedroom. Extra bed available. Electric heating. Air conditioner. 2 bikes available, swimming pool shared with the owners (10x5m), barbecue, hammock, pergola. Possibility to rent sheets, towels + end of stay cleaning service.

We were made most welcome by the Gîte's owners Jean-Marc and Marie-Jo. I would have no hesitation in recommending their kind hospitality and attention.The Gîte is like a Tardis, it appears smaller than it is. It is clean, spacious inside, well equipped and very comfortable for two people. There is a lovely garden area at the rear of the property for outdoor dining and a sheltered pergola type spot with a hammock for lazy sunny days. The pool is a good size and shared with the owners but this was not intrusive.The Gîte is in a good location for getting out and about. We had access to two bicycles but it was far too hot to attempt. There are greenways nearby to cycle safely to nearby towns and villages if an enthusiast.The stunning red brick town of Albi is just a short drive away. A visit to the riverside, the Cathedral, and the Toulouse Lautrec museum are a must if you visit there.Jean-Marc and Marie-Jo provide a detailed information pack for the local area and were helpful in their advice for visits.Ambialet is picturesque and good for a spot of fishing, my OH went for barbel but caught 2 large carp. The hotel by the river is a lovely location for a meal. We were taken aback by the town of Cordes sur Ciel. There's a wow factor there. Lautrec is also well worth a visit as are any of the bastide towns in the area.The stairs to the bedroom are quite steep so might be awkward for anyone with mobility difficulties but in all other respects it is perfect. A car is helpful.

Bonjour, nous avons réservé 5 nuits pour voir notre fils en études à Albi et faire du sport (vélo, balade...)Nous nous sommes régalés. Jean- Marc et Marie- Jo sont des hôtes très accueillants, sympathiques. Le gîte est propre, spacieux, rien ne manque et que dire de la piscine juste devant la porte, baie vitrée du gîte......peut-être un peu froide (je me suis quand même baignée!) mais magnifique! Merci aussi pour cette re-découverte d'Albi en vélo avec Jean-Marc.

Comfortabel huis op uitstekende locatie

Fijn vakantiehuis met royaal zwembad gedeeld met eigenaren van het hoofdgebouw. Supermarkt op 5 minuten afstand. ‘‘s nachts heel stil. Goed werkende a.c. In slaapkamer. Keulen inventaris beperkt. Dus na elke maaltijd ( met de hand) afwassen. Perfecte plaats voor auto op eigen terrein. En gratis gebruik van fietsen om in 20 minuten naar Albi te fietsen.

Joli cadre et gîte, très bien situé

Des propriétaires qui nous ont très bien accueillis. Nous avons passé une belle semaine, dans ce joli gîte, au calme. Bien situé, pour visiter : la cité épiscopale d'Albi, la passerelle de Mazamet, les Bastides et les rochers du Sidobre. Nous garderons un bon souvenir, et remercions Marie-Jo et Jean-Marc, pour leur gentillesse.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour au sein de ce gîte très propre, très bien agencé, avec toutes les commodités nécessaires. La climatisation et la piscine était forcément les bienvenues avec ces chaleurs d’été exceptionnelles. Les propriétaires sont extrêmement accueillants, bienveillants et de très bon conseil quant aux visites et à la découverte de la région. En résumé, tout était parfait. Merci Marie Jo et Jean Marc pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse à notre égard. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Agréable et confortable séjour près d’une ville superbe

Nous avons fort apprécié le gite clair et propre avec ses terrasses, et la tranquille et verte environment tout près d’Albi. La piscine est grande! Les propriétaires sont tres gentils et serviables. Rien n’était trop demande pour nous aider.
