About this property

Monkey Island Waterfront Cottage with Dock-The Ruby, one of Jewels of Isles End

Cottage is a quaint comfortable two bedroom abode. Sleeps up to six. Sits right on waterfront in a quiet cove. Daily activities including, but not limited to, are fishing, swimming, relaxing, and the option of grilling all wrapped into one package. Our three bay dock has plenty of room for your watercraft if needed! Plenty of parking area for truck and trailer/boat trailer. Cottage sits back off of the road, and there's even room for some outdoor games. Great location for anglers, as the public ramp is just a couple of properties over. Some additional amenities are: Shangri-La Golf Course is VERY close, local marinas, restaurants, bait shops, convenience stores, and even a Dollar General for those forgotten items. If you are in the mood, Cherokee Casino is about 12 minutes. Don't forget the sunscreen, sunglasses and beach towel!! The options are only limited to the imagination or willingness to go explore and have fun. If at anytime rest is of the essence the cabin includes two bedrooms for napping before jumping back to action! It includes a fully furnished kitchen with a stove, microwave, sink, and refridgerator/freezer. Cable is included and provides wifi if needed, with a large 52 inch wall-mounted tv, if relaxing is needed. The deck provides a beautiful view of the cove. If a quick dip into the water is in mind, its only a minute walk to the dock which includes a ladder for ease of exiting the water. Let the kids jump in and wear themselves out while the mom gets a much needed sun bath! The Ruby's deck is covered providing shelter or ease of enjoying the morning coffee in peace as well as getting out of the sun for a few moments mid day... use it how you want, just be sure to enjoy!
But please note-other cabins are on the property. Outdoor areas are shared as well as the docks!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Ruby. The cove was a great quiet location. We really enjoyed the enclosed dock to keep our boat in during our stay. Look forward to booking this house again in the future.

Donna is a wonderful host and we love having the dock to hang out on. The cabin is well equipped and there is ample parking for boat trailers with a ramp just down the road. We love staying at Donna’s place!

Family Fun Getaway

We had such a great time with our family on the lake! The cottage was very clean and well equipped as was the indoor dock we used to keep our boat. The boat ramp was very close and everything was in a great location! My kids loved the kayak and paddle boat that was there for us to use. We were made to feel very welcome during our stay and we can’t wait to go back!

Great Stay

We had a weekend planned for our son’s birthday but it rained for weeks leading up to the trip. The lake was in bad shape with a lot of debris in the coves, but with the pedal boat we were able to make it to the dock and go out on our boat. Despite the high waters we enjoyed the stay. The house is well equipped for anything we need. We always love our stays at the Ruby!

We’ve stayed multiple times. A small boat ramp is very close and it makes it easy to handle bringing our boat. Great location and dock. The house has everything we need. It’s perfect for a weekend getaway. When we aren’t on the boat kids like to fish off the dock. It’s a great place to stay

The location and the owner were perfect. Donna was great during the entire process. The cabin could use some minor tweaks: shower head was plugged with sediment, no bathroom window covering with direct view to neighbors, needs curtains in the bedroom (security light right outside) But the property was ideally located and the dock is wonderful. Would recommend.

Our Home away from Home

We have lost count the times we have stayed here. We do know we were unable to come in 2023 due to other events going on and we sure missed it. This has become our home away from home and look forward to more stays here. On the 4th our grands were able to join us for a day in the water just chilling on floats by the dock. We love this location and Donna has become a family friend. Extremely responsive and quick to reply to messages.

It is nice having your own dock , a couple of kayaks & paddle boat are provided so that is nice to have in the cove , Being upstairs the deck is great to sit & relax in the mornings & evenings while enjoying the view of water.

I live in NW Arkansas but enjoy the lake life. Something about Grand Lake drew me years ago when the first cabin was purchased in 2006. The laid back ambiance around the lake will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. I know that it does for me!

Why they chose this property

I always thought that these fishing cabins were cute, when I was in the area staying at our first cabin. It was discovered that the property with all three cabins were for sale. Because of their potential and the area was so nice, they were recently purchased. So with some help and elbow grease (and yes, some cuss words!), the property went through some transformation! There are parts that are still a work in progress and will be for a bit. Ex. improving yardwork with sidewalks, improved driveways, the third cabin. This is the perfect property to share with others so that they may have the opportunity to enjoy the lake and the area. Wow! It is amazing to think that these "Jewels" are available and are waiting to be enjoyed!

What makes this property unique

Views of the lake from The Ruby, will leave one mesmerized. Sit with a cup of coffee at the dining room table, sitting area sofa or out under the covered deck. If the temperature is right later....a quick dip in the lake!
