These vacation homes are located right in the heart of the Texas Hill Country on beautiful Lake Buchanan. They are located in a quiet and gated property and provides a relaxing environment, perfect for a couple’s trip, a family reunion, a business get together or a friends get away trip.
This is a family friendly waterfront property that also offers a third lake house, a “1 Bed 1 Bath House (fits 4 people)”. All 3 lake houses can be rented individually or together as a duo or trio to better serve our guests’ group size. The property also offers plenty of parking space for vehicles and boats.
House #1 is a spacious 3 Bed 2 Full Bath home. Bedroom #1 has a full bed, bedroom #2 a queen bed/crib, bedroom #3 (master) has a queen bed/ bunk bed and a queen air mattress for extra guests. Bathroom #1 has a shower/tub combination, sink and toilet. Bathroom #2 (master) has a large tub, shower, toilet and 2 sinks. It offers a spacious living room with a couch, a loveseat and 2 chairs with ottomans; wood burning fireplace and a 50-inch Flat Screen TV with DVD player and Dish Cable TV. It also has a fully equipped kitchen and a laundry room with washer & dryer. We also offer Unlimited Verizon Internet and board games for the raining days. Outside guests can enjoy the shaded wraparound 2-story deck that offers a gas grill (propane provided) and a charcoal grill.
House #2 is a spacious 3 Bed 2 Full Bath home. Bedroom #1 has a queen bed, bedroom #2 has a queen bed, bedroom #3 (master) has a queen bed/crib and a queen air mattress for extra guests. There are also 2 bunk beds and a ping pong table in the den. Bathroom #1 has a shower/tub combination, sink and toilet. Bathroom #2 (master) has a large tub, shower, toilet and 2 sinks. It offers a spacious living room with a couch, a loveseat, 2 chairs, a 50-inch Flat Screen TV with DVD player and Dish Cable TV. It also has a fully equipped kitchen and a laundry room with washer & dryer. We also offer Unlimited Verizon Internet and board games for the raining days. Outside guests can enjoy the shaded wraparound deck that offers a gas grill (propane provided) and a charcoal grill.
House #1 capacity is 8 guests (adults and children), and House #2 capacity is 10 guests (adults and children), for a total of 18 guests comfortably sleeping in beds. If more accommodations are needed, guests can rent the third lake house on the property or pay an extra guest fee of $25 per guest per night, up to 2 extra guests and bring them along.
The property also offers plenty of outdoor space with shade trees, outdoor seating, hammock, picnic tables, fire pit, horseshoes, and bean bag toss game. A 317 Feet lighted & covered concrete fishing pier, sandy beach, 3 one seater kayaks with paddles/life vests, one 13x9 water pad and boat tour to the waterfalls. The lake is swimming friendly and gets deeper gradually so it is perfect for small kids.

Please note, Lake Buchanan is not a constant level lake, and at the time of your visit the water level may differ from what is depicted on the listing.

Great family getaway! We were 5 families, and fit comfortably in 2 of the houses. Houses were nice, clean, comfortable, and had great amenities. We fished, swam, kayaked, cooked, played games (horseshoes, cornhole) and had a wonderful time. Lake Buchanan water level is low, but it was expected. Great place for family get togethers!!

Great hosts

Rented 2 houses for family reunion. Had plenty of hangout room. Host was very responsive when we had questions. All spaces functioned as expected.

Lake Trip with Family Friends

We had a great time at South Shore. We had 4 families, kids and adults. Easy to access water, loved sitting on the covered pier, chairs and decks had everything we needed. The houses were very clean and organized. Easy to work with the host. We would love to come back!

Fun family weekend at the lake

Just came home from spending the weekend at this place. Can’t say enough good things about this place and the owners! The 2 houses worked perfectly for our whole family. Everything Wivienne told me they had and didnt have were all accurate. Her and Mike were very nice to us and provided answers to every question I had. The table tennis inside house 1 was a perfect idea! Kids and adults loved it. Place was very relaxing and homey. It was very relaxing and peaceful. The house had all the tools we needed in the kitchen and the grills we used the whole weekend. We definitely woul recommend this place and would consider it again next time we plan a vacation! Thank you Mike and Wivienne! 😊

Mike is 100% Texan. He grew up in Giddings, out in the country. He is a Jet Boat Mechanic; he builds jet pumps for performance boats.
Wiviane was born in Brazil, and she is a paramedic. They both love the lake life. They also live on the property, so they are available to make sure the guests feel welcome and are comfortable.

Why they chose this property

The first time they visited Buchanan they fell in love with the lake. The beautiful lake Buchanan offers so much. There is so much fun reserved for fishing lovers. Boating also has its place reserved and no matter how busy the lake is you will never feel crowded. Swimming in Buchanan's water is a recharging exercise, they are "healing waters" some people say. Above it all, just watching the lake gives such a peaceful feeling.

What makes this property unique

The peace and quiet provided by this property and the beautifulness of Buchanan were decisive factors that made the owners fall in love with the place.
