Weekend getaway
The property is truly amazing as soon as you pull into the driveway, you are truly immersed in nature. The communication with the property owners was perfect and beyond easy. We were welcomed in the driveway and shown down to the property. The house has every accommodation you could never need, they have truly gone above and beyon to make sure you feel right at home. The back porch is truly amazing, you can just sit out there and be truly immersed in nature and sit and listen to the birds. There are so many things to do in the area and the owners have plans on different trips you can make all within the area. If you do plan a visit here, please visit the Whistle Stop Cafe in Traveler's Rest, we highly recommend it. We cannot thank the owners enough for making our weekend getaway everything that we needed it to be. We will absolutely be back!

About the host

Host profile image
Bought the property in 1972 and have been living here ever since. My father moved nearby a few years ago, then passed away. We have renovated his very nice modular home for visitors to stay in. There is always work to be done and sometimes we don't know if we are coming or going (see picture above).

Why they chose this property

Everyone seeks their little piece of paradise on this earth. We found ours and have no intention of ever living anywhere else.

What makes this property unique

There are neighbors in the area, but the place you are looking at is the most secluded. We own over 100 acres connected to the home and it is untouched other than cutting firewood and keeping over one mile of road open.
