Our family had a relaxing stay and enjoyed the convenient location. We visited Ceasars Head and Table Rock state parks and it was a very easy drive to each. Both hosts were very friendly, kind and easy to communicate with. Thanks so much for sharing your home!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very quiet, clean and comfortable. They had everything we needed. The host lives right next door and was so sweet, and gives you all the privacy you you could ask for. We fell in love with their cute little dog,Bailey In all it’s a great place to stay.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay here! There is a lovely enclosed porch and the hosts were extremely kind! A couple things to note - the floors may be slippery for older dogs. My pupper was sliding all over the place when we first walked in but he got used to it pretty quickly. Also, the hosts live right next door. I normally don’t like stays where the hosts are that close because of the lack of privacy, but they were not invasive at all, just available if we needed them!
This is a perfect cabin for those that want to get away. It is quiet and beautiful. We loved it!

Spring break family vacation!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay, Ginger was super friendly and eager to help in any way that she could. We enjoyed fishing the river, cooking in the kitchen, playing the board games that were readily available.
Our family had a great long weekend in Travelers Rest and enjoyed our stay. The cabin’s kitchen was fully stocked and the entire home was very clean.
We loved exploring Travelers Rest and ate at several great restaurants. The host recommended Chicora Alley and it was our favorite!
This house was excellent. Very clean, quaint and perfect for our weekend getaway to visit Caesars Head and some creek hiking and waterfalls. Hosts were great and provided us with a Park Entry and Pass and Trail Maps. Will definitely rebook again in the future!
Older home but VERY clean. Was well stocked with everything we needed. The porch was especially nice! Enjoyed walking down to the water and watching the chipmunks in the yard. Would definitely recommend if your looking for somewhere quiet to unwind and recharge.
South Carolina native and family coming home for the holidays, and this little slice of heaven was just the place to welcome me back home. The house was clean and comfortable, and the location is peak peacefulness! Dark, and very quiet. The only complaint we had was the driveway, it’s insanely steep, and wasn’t well suited for our large 1 ton pickup, however we were able to utilize the on street parking. The hosts are lovely people and are located right next door if anything is to happen during your stay. We will definitely stay again!
It is a quite and has beautiful scenery. The cabin is older but very nice. We had a really great time. I would not recommend this property for anyone with a walking disability or in a wheelchair. Besides that it was great!
This cabin is a bit off the beaten trail but close to SO MUCH. The cabin itself is older yet full if character. Reminded us of the ole fish camp houses. The 3 bedrooms was perfect layout for our group of 4. Our favorite was the NEST, the porch couch. The kitchen though small was perfect and we cooked and even made macaroons. Lots of stairs as many have mentioned yet we felt it added to the adventure. Go enjoy the area!

Full of character
This cabin reminds me of the Ole fishing camps. We enjoyed the cabin being in a quiet area with a small river across the lane and yet it was close to lots of great adventures.... tubing, hikes, sliding rock, and state parks. It was restful and well stocked with linens and kitchen items. As mentioned in many other reviews it was steep and lots of stairs. However we choose to incorporate that as part of the adventure.
Had a great time with my Fiance and Parents. Was an older cabin was on a very quiet peaceful road. Enjoyed a walk with our dog down the quiet road beside the river. The patio on the front of the cabin did have a lot of tall weeds but nothing that cant be trimmed. It is a very steep driveway and some of the concrete steps are separating so you definitely have to watch where your walking. But over all was a great short getaway.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Nice bedrooms and living room, strange set up
The upstairs area of the house was comfortable and well laid out. Unfortunately, we planned on cooking and playing games together, and so we spent most of our time on the bottom floor (a tighter, cramped space where the kitchen is located.)
Pros: comfortable bedrooms and screened in porch. 15 minutes from Table Rock. Good assortment of board games.
Cons: deck over river was unstable/falling into the river, neighboring houses very close by, inconvenient floor plan.

Blythe, we're sorry your stay fell short of expectations. The original portion of the cabin was built in 1943 and has since had additions, which has created the current floor plan. We set the maximum occupancy at six guests due to this, as we want everyone to be comfortable. We can confirm that the deck is stable and there's no risk of it falling into the river. We appreciate your feedback and hope to host you again soon! Best, the Evolve Team

Mediocre at best
Location was ideal for hiking Table Rock. The host kindly loaned us a state park pass for our hike. The home was very clean and furnished well with plenty of towels, washcloths, bedding, and all kitchen needs. Each room was furnished well. There were lots of games and movies to choose from. A downside was the flooring of the cabin. There were multiple places the floor was not level and felt like the home was about to cave in. Also if you’re looking for a private place to stay, this may not be for you. The neighbors porch is very close and ends up being the side yard. (Thankfully, the neighbors are very friendly.)
A quiet peaceful weekend with my adult daughter. Best price to fit our plus the pups needs. My dogs love water and the river across the street was perfect, shallow and clear. This is a dead end road with not a lot of traffic. The house is kind of like a raised ranch. The kitchen, dining area and full bathroom are on the first floor. Nice, but not nearly as cozy as the upstairs. This was the true living area. It has 3 bedrooms, half bath and cozy living room with fireplace. This was perfect for our evening needs. We spent all of our time upstairs, only grabbing snacks and drinks from below during commercial breaks. This house was built back in the 40's. Take it for what it is and enjoy. It is immaculately clean and the upstairs is awesome, but it's old and in the woods. There may be a cute mouse or too running around. I live on 4 acres in the woods also, so no big deal. This home is great for down to earth people but not someone looking for a 5 star hotel that doesn't know about truly living in the woods. We drove to Greenville everyday for some shopping, a visit to the zoo and local breweries. It's about a 30 minute commute but the price of the house made the drive worth it to me. Our nights were spent in a serene area where we and our pups felt safe walking around off leash. Our days were filled with traffic and the hustle and bustle of Greenville. I will definitely be back. The owners live next door and are as sweet as can be. We will definitely go back!

Perfectly Relaxing
We came to the Cleveland Home hoping to relax and get a break from the hectic schedule we keep. We brought three teenagers and a large dog. The setting of this house is ideal if you enjoy country walks. You feel very remote, but restaurants and grocery stores are just a short drive. The road to the house is paved and easy to drive for any car.
The hosts have really thought of everything you might need. The house is so well stocked. They met us on our drive in, as they stay right next door. They were friendly and available, but otherwise you’d hardly know they were there.
I highly recommend staying here!

Great get away, Quirky Cabin on a beautiful small clear river. Had everything we needed! With that said, steep drive and stairs from lower parking be prepared to get some steps in! Probably not best for someone with assisted walking disorders. sleeping quarters up stairs, clean and comfortable, would come back and recommend to friends. Host very nice and helpful, wonderful people.
Thank you for our stay!
Our family booked this cabin so we’d be close to DuPont State Recreational Forest for the weekend.
It was better than expected!
The location was perfect. We were near DuPont, but also not far from Travelers Rest which offered restaurants, etc.
Since this property is on a Dead End Road, it was quiet. The beds were comfortable and we rested well.
We hope to visit again so we can enjoy the river across the street and nearby hikes and waterfalls.
