L'ILE TUDY in reality a peninsula (pleasant temperate climate all year round, under the influence of gulf steam) Ideal for visiting the Finistère. It is an old fishing village with its narrow streets dotted with flowered houses. The beach faces the Glénan archipelago and Ile aux Moutons, located at the entrance of the Pont l'Abbé river, facing Loctudy, at the end of the Bénodet cove (spa, casino ) and 20 minutes from Quimper. The beach stretches for 5 KM, it presents no danger in particular thanks to its gentle slope.
Fishing on foot is essential (clams, cockles, oysters, mussels, weed, shrimp) Many walks and hikes nearby as well as cycle paths.
In the surroundings: Bénodet, Concarneau, Locronan, Loctudy, Le Guilvinec, Pont l'Abbé, Pointe du Raz, Pont Aven, Douarnenez, Crozon peninsula, Pointe de la Torche, Audierne bay, Brest.
In the nearby surroundings, many visits and walks in addition to all the pleasures that the sea can bring you.
STE MARINE: nice little port (must see)
BENODET: seaside museum, cruise on the ODET (the prettiest river in France) as well as the GLENAN ISLANDS, spa, barrier casino.
PONT L ABBE: capital of the Bigouden country, museum, large market every Thursday, numerous shops, walks on the towpath.
GUILVINEC: 3rd French fishing port, fishing city, Haliotika (discovery of the fishing world, visits, activities and workshop)
CONCARNEAU: and its walled city, fishing museum, marinarium (showcase of the marine biology laboratory)
THE TORCH: natural peninsula, surfer's paradise, in March / April, come and admire the immense tulip fields that line the road.
PENMARCH: lighthouse to visit and climb.
QUIMPER: Capital of Cornouaille, visit to the famous Henriot pottery, cathedral, shopping and pedestrian streets.
PORT LA FORET: the port of the largest navigators.
DOUARNENEZ
A little further:
PONT AVEN: city of painters, museum of fine arts.
LOCRONAN: small town of character, one of the most beautiful villages in France, history museum, numerous artists and craftspeople in activity.
CROZON / MORGAT: the house of minerals, museum of the old Abbey of Landevennec, the house of the old living trades of Argol.
