We had a wonderful stay in North Carolina at Fern Hollow Cottage over Thanksgiving! We love Sapphire and the surrounding areas. There is so much to do and see for our family. The cottage was a fantastic place to stay and is wonderfully accommodating. Being a short-term rental owner myself, I have become fairly critical of places that we stay with our family. Fern Hollow Cottage was the nicest, cleanest, and most well-equipped property we have stayed at in recent years. It checked all of our wants and needs when searching for a mountain house and we would gladly return in the future!

Easy Peaceful Stay

Great place to stay! Kelly was great to work with and the property exceeded our expectations. Loved the nights on the deck overlooking the creek watching the fire with a nice glass of wine. Short stay this time but we hope to be back for a longer stay next time!

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. They have really paid attention to detail, the sheets are soft, all of the needed kitchen items are there, and there are even soft blankets in the living room.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home! The amenities were amazing and the open living space made it fun for our siblings and spouses to gather. We love the area and the fall colors outside were amazing! Overall a grand time was had by all!

Amazing Cabin!

The cabin is absolutely beautiful. We were only there for a short weekend for my son's wedding, but the cabin is so roomy, equipped with anything you may need. Hope to make another trip to the area in there future & would love to stay & enjoy the cabin more than we were able to on this trip.

The kitchen was well stocked and there were ample sleeping quarters. There was also numerous outdoor locations for sitting and eating. This house was perfect for our nine day stay.

Great Weekend Trip

We spent a long weekend here, it was fabulous. Well appointed with everything you need. Enjoyed the sounds of the creek and the outdoor fireplace is wonderful. The kitchen is well appointed and the house is just wonderful.

Convenient Location

Very impressed with this house. Very spacious, convenient location, comfortable and family friendly. Enjoyed the quiet location and the screened in porch with fireplace was our favorite spot in the house.

One item in particular that you may like is new cushions for the chairs / chaise on the lower deck and a fire pit with all weather resin Adirondack chairs on a new patio being installed near the creek at the rear of the cottage to enjoy the cool winter evenings and improve the outdoor amenities of the property. We may also have a few other surprises before your next visit if we are able to get them coordinated with our construction team. We know that when you elect to return, your next visit will be even more enjoyable. Lovely stay!

Fern Hollow Cottage did not disappoint! We absolutely loved our stay there. The fireplace on the master porch was our favorite spot to hang out during our stay. The sounds of the creek in the background were a bonus. Clean property and very easy check in process.

Fern Hollow Cottage, our first Blue Dresden property, was created from our desire to provide guests with an exceptional mountain retreat. We designed the home specifically to accommodate two families traveling together, extended families, or small groups of friends who want to experience the beauty and charm of Western North Carolina’s Cashiers–Highlands Plateau.

This area offers a rare combination of peaceful mountain surroundings and endless outdoor activities.
