Situated in beautiful surroundings within the Garfagnana area of Tuscany, the property is ideal for guests wishing to relax or explore the many walking routes and footpaths throughout the surrounding mountains.
The local market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is just over a 5-minute drive away and offers a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and a weekly market. The popular medieval town of Barga can be reached in approximately 20 minutes, whilst the historic walled city of Lucca is around 1 hour away. Pisa, with its famous leaning tower, is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes by car, and Florence can be visited in around 2 hours.
The famous Wind Caves are around a 40-minute drive away, as is a local adventure park offering activities such as river canyoning. Nearby lakes include Gramolazzo where you can swim, and Vagli — with its submerged village and famous zipwire.
The Fortress at Verrucole is a popular local attraction with stunning views and interactive activities for children. Also close by is the Buffardello tree climbing and zip wire park, suitable for both adults and children, where you can take a picnic and spend the day in the shade of the forest.
