Sunset Ridge, Awesome Group Retreat!

Sunset Ridge is a wonderful place for a Church Camp or Retreat, Family Reunion, Corporate get away, or Youth Retreat. A beautiful, fun wooded location on 5 plus acres with a pool, hot tub, and access to the owners private 13 acre lake. We have a large meeting room, great for praise and worship or meetings.
Wonderful outdoor recreation opportunities, just 2 miles from the entrance to Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management area, a great place to hike, cave or rock climb. Rock town is a popular bouldering location and Petijohns cave is a fun adventure.

Chuck and Melissa are extremely accommodating and helpful. We've stayed multiple times at Sunset Ridge and any time we've needed anything they respond quickly and address whatever is needed. The house is always clean when we arrive and well stocked with clean linens and towels. The grounds and surrounding area are well kept and quiet.

Sunset Ridge is perfect for a teen or youth retreat. The cooks in our group really loved the kitchen. We had 17 in our group and we stayed 2 nights. There was plenty of space for all the activities we planned. Being geared toward youth, the bedrooms have the "camp" feel including camp-type mattresses. We didn't spend much time outside so we didn't explore everything but the kids found the basketball court and played out there a while. The kids loved the ping pong and the mile-long couch was great for watching TV.

The best youth retreat spot

We returned for the 4th year in a row with a church group of teenagers. So many beds, plenty of outdoor space, indoor common areas for games and meetings.

Annual retreat

We’re a group of 15-18 women who come stay every February for a long weekend of yoga. Chuck and Melissa go out of their way to make our stay comfortable. This was our 4th year at Sunset Ridge and we plan on many more!

This is our second time staying here. It is the perfect place for our guys youth retreat. Plenty of room and beds. The kitchen and eating space is big enough for everyone. The teens love the hang out space and games that are available. We loved it!

Relaxing getaway for groups

Sunset Ridge is a beautiful, quiet place to have a church youth retreat. This is our second time here - the first time was in the winter. This year we wanted to be able to swim and kayak so we scheduled it for summer time. We had a great time! Perfect fit for our group!

Great property! Very well stocked- lots of bedding and blankets as well as kitchen supplies. The house was very cold throughout our stay and there was no heating system that we could find but we kept warm with all the provided blankets. We loved our stay and plan to bring a group back again!

Lovely softball weekend

We had 22 teens and adults stay here. We had a lovely time. All of our meals were able to be cooked, they had a slow cooker and blackstone. It was clean, easy to leave for when we checked out, and we had a slight inconvenience with septic, but they came over and took care of it right away. Would highly recommend.

Winter with extended family

For our family of 6 adults and 12 children, this was a great location and we would definitely consider returning. The host was prompt and very helpful with our questions, the hiking in the area is perfect for all ages, and our boys loved the fishing opportunities. Thank you for such a fun week!

Great winter retreat

This location was perfect for our church's annual youth retreat. Plenty of beds, room around the dining tables, seating for everyone for group activities, and room to spread out and play games. Ideal for a youth retreat! The kitchen was roomy with 2 full size fridges so we had plenty of room for food storage, prep, and serving. It was in a quiet and peaceful setting. We hope to come back next year!

An Amazing Place!

We were so happy at the size of this home. We are a big family!! We had plenty of room and there were lots of activities to keep everyone engaged and talking! We bought Sunset Ridge in 2018 and have renovated it to accommodate groups. It is in a beautiful location, next to Pigeon Mountain Crossing, our larger Retreat.The two combined can host groups with up to 120 guests so it was a perfect addition.
