About the host
Hosted by Michael Smith
My great aunt and uncle built on the property when Barndoor Island was first developed by Robert Ronci in the late 1960s. At that time the only structures were a cow barn and a caretaker's cottage. They both grew up during the Great Depression and you will see photos of them hanging in the house as the cottage was their dream.
Why they chose this property
You will be hard pressed to find a place with this much privacy on the big lake - in addition to the protected cove. You will be able to find newer houses, more updated houses, bigger houses, but you won't get the same privacy and space for the price. I have several families that come back year after year. I rent for limited weeks to pay the taxes.
What makes this property unique
2.5 acres, 330 feet of lake frontage.
